EXTENSIVE PRODUCT TESTINGAll PUPI® products are the result of intensive design efforts and rigorous testing to assure they meet required performance standards and published specifications.

MECHANICAL TESTING – PUPI transmission crossarms are tested by applying vertical loads at a constant rate to the wire attachments, measuring load and deflection until the beam fractures. H-Frame assemblies are tested in 3 phase, 2 pole configurations. Load deflection plots are virtually linear to the fracture point for all PUPI crossarms.

PUPI mechanical test methods are designed to closely represent actual product service conditions. Test specimens are drilled with the same hole configuration as the final product. Production mounts and attachment hardware are used and loads are applied at the same points that will be used in the final application. To assure accuracy, our testing methods and procedures are verified by independent test facilities.

ELECTRICAL TESTING – PUPI transmission crossarms have undergone extensive electrical testing at leading independent laboratories.

All GEOTEK products, including PUPI, are manufactured in accordance with our Quality Management System based on the ISO 9001:2008 framework.

Nobody has more experience testing fiberglass crossarms than PUPI.

BUILT IN USAPUPI crossarms and braces are designed and built in the USA. All of our fiberglass pultrusion, fabrication and assembly are performed at our plant in Stewartville, MN.
