For more and more pilots:
The simulator is seen as an aerodynamic entity :abnormals and emergencies happen.
- Training for proficiency
The aircraft on line is seen as an economic entity :operational items have to be dealt with.

• As training providers we have to balance this view
• One way of doing this can be to introduce the operators SOPs into the type rating trainingand of course more so into the recurrent and proficiency training for their pilots.
• Most operator integrated TRTOs do this for themselves already.
• For independent TRTOs however to do this has its challenges

•only highly experienced pilot instructors on type (also for the theoretical phase)instructors must have enough free capacity to adapt to the different SOPs
•freelance instructors active with various operators •web based documentation and planning access for instructors•instructor standardization meetings in-house on regular basis•documentation preparation and course progress monitoring through CST training department specialists
