Samoa dance is the one area of Samoa culture which has been least affected whit western civilsation

SIVASAMOA DANCE TRADIONTS REFLECT CONTACT BETWEEN SAMOAN CULTURE AND OTHERS CULTURES FROM THE EAST AND WEST.THE TRADITIONAL SAMOAN DANCE IS THE TAUALUGA. MEANS JUMPING;THE PERFOMER,DRESSED IN PANTS(CALLED TUIGA)COMPOSED OF LEAVES AND HUMAN HAIR,USALLY SITS AND PORTRAYS AN EVERY ACTION.THE DANCE REPRESENT RELATION SHIP.INFLUENCES FROM RAP CAN BE DETECTED,BUT TRADIOTIONAL SAMOAN STYLES OF MOVEMENTS INTERPRETED AS A MICROCOSM OF SAMOAN SOCIETY.SAMOA DANCE HAS BEEN

TRADIONAL SAMOA FIRE DANCING IS ONE OF THE GRAT CULTURAL EXPERIENNCES OF SAMOA.THESE ARE PERFORMED AT ALL THE MAJOR HOTELS IN ARIOUS FORMS.THE DANCE ROUTINE IS ERFORMED TO UPBEAT RHYTHMIC DRUMMING.HAND CLAPPING AND SINGING. A DANCE TROUPE CAN INCLUDE FROM 2 TO AS MANY AS TEN ROWS OF DANCERS, WITH THE MEN JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND THE WOMEN MO ING GRACEFULLY FROM SIDE TO SIDE .

In the traditional Siva dance the musicians seat themselves on one side and proceed to beat a wooden drum at the sound of which the guests start musicians beat to assemble. The handsome brown bodies of the dancers glisten with shells.
