As I look back over the 65 years of IEM’s existence as a supplier of electrical power equipment products, I am proud and humbled by the accomplishments of our team. Today, we are a multi-national company with a world wide market and a product scope that ranges from simple 120V panel boards to 8 MW modular CHP plants to 38 kV switchgear to complete MV power systems for the most sophisticated data center designs.
The path hasn’t been without mistakes or set backs, but we have endured and grown to legitimately become the largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical power distribution equipment in North America. Our business continues to grow at double digit rates as we expand our capabilities and capacity to even better meet the changing needs of clients. Product UpdatesLV Switchgear: UL1558, ANSI C37.20.1, CSA C22.2 No. 31• Now available with EMAX2 Power Circuit Breakers.• Bus rating increase to 10,000A expected in Q2, 2015.• Now available with 2 x High, 3200A Breakers in a 24”W
section.• Cable pull sections and Utility metering sections are
available to be configured as part of IEM’s UL 1558 switchgear with ratings of 2000A, 3200A or 5000A and Short circuit ratings of 65kA through 200kA.
• UL 1558 switchgear with 4 x High, 800A sections are being built with ratings of 2000A or 3200A and short circuit rating of 65kA through 200kA.
• UL 1558 switchgear can be built with “fixed” or “draw out” breakers.
• Available Power Circuit breakers: ABB EMAX2, GE Entelliguard, Siemens WL, and MasterPact NW.
Company Updates• New estimating database tool within eQuote is in Beta
testing for LV Switchgear and Switchboards with insulated case and power circuit breakers with expected formal release in Q2. We will be expanding to cover molded case circuit breakers, panelboards and MV products later this year. The new database will not only help at the front end in providing consistent, professional proposals for our clients but assist with project engineering/production planning/scheduling in the quote to order conversion.
• Launch of re-designed iemfg.com website. Features an improved look and feel allowing users to easily navigate through IEM’s capabilities and download company and product information more efficiently.– Improved technical document page allowing for easy
search of downloads– New sales rep finder easy for customers to locate

Facility UpdatesJacksonville• Recently completed data center project where entire
switchgear line up was built and shipped on one common base. As a result, the installation and connection time was considerably reduced.
• Telegauge, IEM Power Systems remote monitoring solution, was recently implemented on 1.6 MW rotary UPS in our test facility.
• Increased bench strength in Commercial Services/Inside Sales department with upgraded Manager and Quotations Specialist with extensive industry experience.
• Recently added Project Management skill set to Commercial Services with addition of a Project Manager.
LV Panelboard: UL67, CSA C22.2 No. 29• CDP available Molded Case Circuit Breakers with GE,
ABB, Schneider and Siemens.
MV Switchgear: ANSI C37.20.xx, CSA C22.2 No. 31• Vesta listing/certification by CSA has been completed to
CSA C22.2 No. 31.• Process of 38kV CSA listing/certification has begun.• Vesta option for AR transition section to Arc Resistant
Motor Control Center (Allen Bradley, GE).• Construction from the ground up in Jacksonville of ABB
Advance MV ANSI Switchgear.
Belgium• Product line now goes up to 1.6 MW.• Recently awarded an order for three (3) RB 800 units –
Two (2) for local Belgium TV station and one (1) for former distributor in the UK.
• IEM Power Systems recently purchased additional building in Battice with enough land to increase the current footprint by double.
• Future plans underway to allow us to build LV IEC panel boards in Battice further increasing our global switchgear capabilities.
• Certification of ISO9001 Quality Management System underway at our Battice, Belgium facility.
Jacksonville Facility Personnel ChangesManoj Bundhoo Application Engineer / Quotations Manager
Manoj is currently managing the Commercial Services /Inside Sales department. He is an electrical engineer with industry experience as both an application engineer and manager. Manoj previously worked for G&W Electric Co. since 1999 in various management positions such as Switchgear Application Engineer and was instrumental in helping grow that company from $40M to $250M in annual sales.
Bill Tyrakowski Application Engineer / Quotations
Bill will be a part of the Commercial Services Department as an Applications Engineer / Quotations. He will be responsible for providing technical quotations and proposals as well as order management. Bill comes to us from G&W Electric Co. where he was employed for 7 years. His most recent position was Application Engineer for Underground Switchgear.
Katie Wilkins Project Manager
Katie will be a part of the Commercial Services Department as a Project Manager. Katie has an MBA from Eastern Michigan University. Her most recent position was Project Manager with Cayman Chemical Company where she was employed since 2004.

IEM Marine Projects• Awarded POs for a series of eight (8) tugboats for Eastern
Shipbuilding.• Awarded POs for a series of four (4) tugboats (following
a total of five (5) previous last year) for Washburn and Doughty.
• Awarded PO for M/V Woods Hole main and emergency switchboards at Conrad Shipbuilding.
• Won bid (awaiting PO) for a complete package (Switchboards, motor control centers, transformers, panelboards) for the Alaska Marine Highway System Ferry at Vigor Alaska.
• Awarded large change order for Great Lakes Dock and Dredge ATB with L-3 (building at Eastern Shipbuilding)
