Toya L. Beasley is the on-air personality and host of Radio103.9FM’s Inspire U,
New York City’s best mix of inspirational music and entertainment. Inspire U with
Toya Beasley can be heard every Sunday morning from 8:00am to 11:00am.
Ms. Beasley is also CEO and Founder of TLB Consulting, a firm specializing in
radio, television, special events and talent management. Additionally, she is the
Creator and Executive Producer of the annual SistaFriendz Stellar Women of
GospelTM
Awards, honoring outstanding women in the gospel music industry.
Ms. Beasley is also Founder and CEO of SistaFriendzTM
, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to
educate, equip and empower women for success in their personal and professional lives.
Prior to joining Radio103.9FM, Ms. Beasley was the well-loved voice of New York WRKS-FM, better
known to fans as 98.7 KISS-FM. She hosted New York City’s number one Sunday morning gospel
program, KISS Inspirations, as well as KISS-FM’s weekday gospel show, Morning Glory. With the
station since 1989, Ms. Beasley started as a programming assistant and worked her way up to Program
Director, a position she held for 10 years.
Ms. Beasley left her indelible mark on KISS-FM, with programming such as the KISS Wake-Up Club, the
Wake-Up Club Community Tour, the nationally syndicated Michael Basiden Show, Rhythm Review with
Felix Hernandez, The Hour of Power with Rev. Al Sharpton, Randy Jackson’s Hitlist, The Donnie
McClurkin Show and Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Empowering Moment. Additionally, she produced the Isaac
Hayes & Friends and the Ashford & Simpson shows. Ms. Beasley also co-founded the KISS Inspirations
Choir. KISS-FM’s parent company, Emmis, sold 98.7 to the Walt Disney Company in April 2012.
Ms. Beasley has received numerous accolades, including five Billboard Awards, five Radio and Records
awards and an Impact Music Award. Her work in the community has also been recognized; she is the
recipient of a New York YMCA Black Achiever’s Award, a McDonald’s Gospelfest Black Heritage
Award and a West Harlem Assistance INC Award, among others. Ms. Beasley also was awarded the
Keys to the City for producing her Night of Healing events, which have taken place every year since 9/11.
Ms. Beasley is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and New York Women in
Communications organizations, and she sits on the Board of Directors for the Mama Foundation for the
Arts.
Ms. Beasley’s professional accomplishments are many, but nothing drives her more than her passion for
God and His people. She works diligently to communicate that passion into the urban community.
