Seattle, Washington, on the west coast of the United States, has many attractions. Here are just ten of the

Space Needle

This landmark modern tower with its amazing city vistas is probably the first things that most people

think of when they think of Seattle. This iconic, futurist piece was opened in 1962 and has a height of

184m.

Pike Place Market

This public market overlooking Elliot Bay opened in 1907 and is one of the oldest continuously operating

markets in the United States. It is well known for its market produce, seafood and other edible items and

beverages.

Experience Music Project Museum

This not for profit museum houses a number of exhibits about contemporary popular culture. The

museum was designed in a deconstructionist style by architect Frank Gehry and by Paul Allen, co-founder

of Microsoft, who founded the museum in the year 2000. Here you will find a range of items related to

some of the world's most famous icons.

Woodland Park Zoo

This is a 92 acre zoo with nearly 300 different species and a strong emphasis on conservation. It is located

in the Phinney Ridge area of the city. As well as all the different animal enclosures, you will also find a

vintage carousel, play areas and outdoor concerts during the summer months.

Museum of Flight

This is a large museum dedicated to teaching people and showing people about air and space travel. There

are many exhibits here including space vehicles, aircraft, historical items and much more. You are

allowed to enter a number of crafts and can find out a lot more about all elements of powered flight.

Waterfront Park

This public park is a scenic spot, right on the central waterfront in downtown Seattle, with a boardwalk

and great views of the skyline and ships. This park is a great place for a stroll or for a bike ride. It was

constructed on the site of the former Schwabacher Wharf.

Kerry Park

Kerry Park is another great place to visit for amazing views of the Seattle skyline. This pleasant, green

and leafy spot has panoramic views from its location on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill towards the

downtown skyrises and the Space Needle. This is a great place to come for a spectacular sunset.

Seattle Aquarium

This is a great place to come to learn more about the sea life of the Puget Sound. The aquarium is located

on the Elliot Bay Waterfront and was first opened in 1977. This is a great spot for nature lovers and

families with kids. There is an underwater viewing dome and all sorts of exhibition tanks along with

things to help people understand the marine life they are observing.

Museum of History and Industry

The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) is the place to learn more about Seattle History. The

story of the city and its people is told through a series of fascinating exhibits and there is plenty here to

keep everyone entertained.

Seattle Art Museum

This spacious art museum contains a variety of modern and more historic works of art. The diverse
