  • 59 [email protected] 408.636.3779

YamaBackgroundYama was originally designed by Caren Kwan and Tommy Prewitt and was the basis for the felt collection.

We were asked to redesign Yama and add a few more products to the felt collection. We had to use the same materials throughout all of the products to keep a consistency so that everything would relate to create a family of products.

    Cork Sheet

    Rubber O-Ring

    1/4Thick Birch Dowels

MaterialsWe chose to go with 1/5 eco felt to keep the the design sustainable.

The felt is held down by 1/4 birch dowels which have laser cut notches so that rubber o-rings can slip over to lock the felt into place.

The Cuzi is the only product with cork veneer to absorb water. The center taper design can fit a wide range of cups.

    KamiCorner Organizer

ProcessAll of the felt and wood pieces were laser cut to create a burnt edge detail.

Kami has a very unique design in that the main wood pieces have laser cut perforations so that the wood can be bent.

The birch dowels were also laser cut to keep the same relations throughout the product. This was done by creating a jig to hold the wooden dowels in place while it was being laser cut.

As an active student I carry around two different liquid containers, a water bottle and coffee mug. They both have one thing in common, carry liquids.

This gave me an idea to create a modular liquid vessel.

The CAPsule is a modular liquid container that can be customized to your lifestyle. Each capsule represents a different aspect of your life, whether it be for drinking water, coffee, or going to thegym,. You can separate each beverage into its own container and carry it all with you as they connect to form a larger container.

    Internship

Pfeiffer LabPfeiffer Lab is small furniture design studio located in Oakland, CA.

I spent 4 months working with Eric Pfeiffer on a variety of different projects.

I gained a great understanding of how to design furniture in the simplest way for manufacturing.

    Tilt Box

The Tilt box was an early project designed for TUC, a sister company for Pfeiffer Lab.

It started out as a sketch and was fully devloped in Solidworks. This is one of the many projects that I worked on that made it to market.
