Re: ST. ALOYSIUS SCHOOL SEVENTH GRADE SUMMER READING 2017

The goal of the Summer Reading Program is to have you reading for pleasure. By eliminating the pressure of having to take a test on the material, we feel the experience will be more enjoyable as well. As you read:

1. Find connections between the book and your personal life. 2. Find connections between the book and other books or movies. 3. List some qualities of the main character that impress you the most, using examples. 4. What message or “big idea” is the author trying to express?

We will write a personal reflection when we return to school in August. The point is to enjoy your

reading! Choose one book from each list. You will be required to read a minimum of two books, but we certainly encourage you to read more.

These books may be purchased wherever you choose, checked out from the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, read in traditional book form or e-reader. Those with print copies are encouraged to bring them to school in August.
