TIS INTEC Group Brand
Underlying Concepts of Group Logo
The logo portrays the TIS INTEC Group as a tightly knit team, powered forward by the different sets of expertise that each member brings to the table. It is in our two main corporate colors: “ocean blue” for the new challenges that we are constantly tackling, and “intelligent gray” for the solid technological foundations that underpin our business.
Brand Message
The brand tagline, “Go Beyond,” embodies our constant quest into the beyond in search of new challenges. It represents our firm commitment as a group to delivering solutions that are always one step ahead, not only solving clients’ problems but anticipating and meeting their own customers' needs too.
The evolution of information technology (IT) and its widespread use have precipitated huge,
globally pervasive changes not only from an industry perspective but also
from an individual perspective, impacting society and culture and even personal lifestyles.
This current could spur greater transformation, as the Internet of Things (IoT),
big data and artificial intelligence (AI) become more mainstream.
TIS will shape a new IT world—an IT frontier.
In this new era, TIS will strive to be a creator that always exceeds the imagination.

Keywords that Underline TIS’ Advanced Technologies
The field of “fintech”—integrating finance and information technology—draws on IT to create new financial services in the finance sector. TIS is working to apply fresh technologies, available at home and abroad, to deliver systems and services geared to the fintech approach.
This architecture, in which a distributed processing network linking digital terminals around the world facilitates data confirmation and thereby real-izes secure transactions, has gained recognition mainly because of bitcoin. The technology has the potential to dramatically revolutionize global IT systems, and many collaborative groups and organizations are pursuing research and verification tests to leverage the technology. TIS is also looking for possible new IT systems and is exploring blockchain applications.

At TIS, we have built a solid track record through projects for clients in the finance business, but the credit card business is where we excel. We are involved in core system projects at major domestic credit card companies, are well acquainted with all administrative operations, including application screening, card issuance, sales, billing, settlement and reminder notifica-tions, and have earned a stellar reputation in the industry. To date, in Japan, the ratio of cashless settlement using such methods as credit cards and e-money at places where consumers make their purchases is not as high as it is in other countries. But the situation is changing very quickly. Japan, too, has entered the era of cashless settlement, spurred by a rapid increase in the number of inbound tourists, more online transactions paralleling widespread use of smartphones, and technological progress in various types of settlement systems. TIS provides settlement services for international credit card brands and actively addresses the application of cutting-edge domestic and overseas settlement technologies. We will draw on the ex-perience and technological capabilities accumulated up to now to support the business strategies of our clients whether at home or on the global stage.
Applying extensive results and experience in card sector to meet expanding demand for “cashless settlement”We’re always thinking about
“tomorrow” in the world of finance. System development for the financial sector represents a large portion of our rich and varied track record. In developing systems, we are entrusted with clients’ valuable assets, a responsibility that demands we provide IT services of high reliability and high quality. At the same time, this sector is characterized by fast paced integration of different services, making it a most exciting sector. At TIS, we work as a team with each client, picturing what tomorrow’s financial business will be like and cutting a path for sophisticated IT appli-cations that drive management strategies to successful results.

Electric power system reforms to promote deregulation in the energy industry will not only see liberalization of retail sales of electricity, which began in 2016, but also lead to the unbundling of power production from distribution and the realization of a smart grid system supported by corporations and local governments. Deregulation will attract new players from other sectors, totally changing the way industries do business and the way people live. TIS has supported electric power and gas sectors—key components of Japan’s social infrastructure—through IT for many years. Drawing together the know-how accumulated in the process of providing services for clients in the energy industry, we will encourage use of EneLink, a total solution that will contribute to the success of electric power system reform.

AI and robotics
Artificial intelligence (AI) is attracting attention these days as a core technology of the fourth industrial revolution, and com-mercialization of AI is beginning to appear in many areas, including natural language processing, machine learning, automa-tion control and autonomous movement. At TIS, we have formed technology- and capital-based alliances, mainly with univer-sities, public sector research organizations, major IT vendors and specialist ventures, to pursue verification and development of core AI technology and proof of concept, and we seek to confirm leading-edge technologies and identify approaches for commercializing them.
TIS’ incubation approach for creating innovations with venture companies
TIS established its Incubation Center to align with innovations by venture businesses at home and abroad and to fuel new business creation and business collaboration with clients. To promote open innovation, a leading-edge technique for business incubation, and highlight our own Innovation Ecosystem, designed to leverage emerging results, we offer multifaceted, open support, such as the Corporate Venture Capital Program for capital alliances with venture businesses, the Venture Business Challenge Program for personnel exchanges, and the Coworking Space Program for enhancing communication and collaboration. These programs build stronger relationships.
Proprietary software created by designated vendors is not without a few concerns, particularly issues regarding maintenance and cost. OSS, however, with its source codes publicly available, sidesteps such issues. TIS pro-vides product support to enhance the stability of OSS for use in the enterprise field and also offers ISHIGAKI Template, an OSS-recommended software stack verified in-house as a solution to link apps and platform systems. OSS has attracted attention not only because it automates software development, improves quality and lowers costs but also because it represents a key tech-nology in proactive IT, which generates new business value. Seeking to utilize proactive OSS, we have taken an enthusiastic approach toward participation in OSS-related consortium opportunities and cross-industry research activities, and we are keen to organize training and seminars as well.
