The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat will wrap up their four-game regular season series tonight at Quicken loans Arena. daniel Gibson appeared in two of the first three games against Miami and is averaging 23.5 points on .533 shooting, including shooting 8-13 (.615) from deep, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 33.5 minutes per game against the Heat this season. Cleveland trails the all-time series 45-38.
The Cavs have one of the highest scoring benches in the NBA at 34.8 points per game (7th best in the league). daniel Gibson has been one of the key reserves making a contribution this season. last Monday versus Orlando, the Cavs outscored the Magic’s bench 44-20 as Gibson led all reserves with 16 points on 7-11 (.636) shooting, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block in 23 minutes. From Mar. 9-21 (six games), Gibson averaged 12.0 points per game. He has also made at least one three-pointer in nine straight games (Feb. 25 - Mar. 21).
The Heat, who have lost five of their last six at The Q, currently sit in third place in the eastern Conference. Miami is one of the best teams on both ends of the floor this season, shooting .477 from the field, while allowing just .429 shooting from their opponents. The Heat also has two of the league’s top four scorers in leBron James (26.4) and dwyane Wade (25.4). Miami is currently on a four-game road trip.
In two games against the Heat this season, Cavs guard Daniel Gibson is averaging 23.5 points on .533 shooting.
