Vorrei parlarvi della mia esperienza del primo anno del liceo.

Secondo me è stata fantastica. Certo non è stato tutto facile e il primo giorno avevo una paura terribile perché dovevo cambiare scuola e avere nuovi compagni e insegnanti.

4 Anna is a translator, read her story.

Da quando ho iniziato a studiare l’inglese a scuola mi sono innamorata di questa lingua e ho deciso che avrei imparato a parlarla come l’italiano.

Dopo essermi laureata in lingue ho visto l’annuncio di una società di traduzioni online che cercava giovani traduttori. Dopo un colloquio e una prova di traduzione sono stata assunta come traduttore di inglese, francese e italiano.

Faccio questo lavoro da un anno e mi piace molto. Mi sento davvero fortunata rispetto ai miei amici che non riescono a trovare un’occupazione.

Ogni giorno ci sono delle difficoltà, ma è stimolante perché non smetto mai di imparare. Inoltre lavorando da casa via Internet non perdo tempo per andare in ufficio.

Un sondaggio recente rivela che i giovani non dormono abbastanza. La colpa è della tecnologia: Internet, cellulari e televisione sono ormai nelle camere da letto della maggior parte degli adolescenti.

I ragazzi dovrebbero essere pieni di energia, ma spesso vanno a scuola stanchi perché dormono un’ora e mezzo in meno di quanto dovrebbero. Uno su dieci dorme meno di sei ore a notte.

Tuttavia il riposo è importante. La sera bisogna riposarsi scegliendo attività rilassanti. Quindi bisogna evitare studio, lavoro e attività fisiche prima di dormire.

Invece nell’ora prima di dormire un adolescente su due naviga su Internet, parla o manda messaggi al cellulare. Uno su dieci viene svegliato quasi ogni notte da email o SMS. Il 14% gioca tutte le sere ai videogiochi. Quindi bisognerebbe eliminare dalla camera da letto computer e cellulari.

Gli adulti preferiscono guardare la TV, che però disturba meno la qualità del sonno.

Se ci sentiamo stanchi durante il giorno significa che non dormiamo abbastanza. Invece dormire bene è essenziale: se riposiamo poco e male rischiamo di ingrassare e di diventare ansiosi e irritabili. Inoltre la stanchezza è spesso la causa di incidenti stradali.
