TIER 1 AEG GEARBOX INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS For additional assistance with installation, contact us at: [email protected] Congratulations on the purchase of your Tier 1 AEG gearbox! This installation guide assumes you have a basic familiarity with installing a Version 2 gearbox into the receiver of your rifle. 1. Remove the motor grip plate, unplug the motor wires (take note of their positioning) the motor and motor grip. Set aside for later reassembly. 2. Install your Tier 1 gearbox into the lower receiver of your rifle. Take note of the selector plate position to ensure proper selection of all firing modes is possible. 3. For AEG rifles that do not use a buffer tube screw sufficiently long enough to thread into the Quick Change Spring guide, please ensure that you leave the steel washer and stainless steel screw firmly affixed (figure 1). Failure to do so can cause the spring guide to tilt under full compression and cause damage to internal components. If your AEG rifle has the correct length buffer tube screw (able to thread into the spring guide), you can safely remove these pieces.

Congratulations on the purchase of your Tier 1 AEG gearbox! This installation guide assumes you have a basic familiarity with installing a Version 2 gearbox into the receiver of your rifle.

1. Remove the motor grip plate, unplug the motor wires (take note of their

positioning) the motor and motor grip. Set aside for later reassembly.

2. Install your Tier 1 gearbox into the lower receiver of your rifle. Take note of the selector plate position to ensure proper selection of all firing modes is possible.

3. For AEG rifles that do not use a buffer tube screw sufficiently long

enough to thread into the Quick Change Spring guide, please ensure that you leave the steel washer and stainless steel screw firmly affixed (figure 1). Failure to do so can cause the spring guide to tilt under full compression and cause damage to internal components. If your AEG rifle has the correct length buffer tube screw (able to thread into the spring guide), you can safely remove these pieces.

4. Reattach the motor grip, ensuring that you have installed the 2x silver grip screws. The placement of these screws is not critical, however it is generally recommended they be placed at opposite positions from one another to ensure a solid grip (see figure 2). Do not over tighten!

5. Position the wires for correct hookup to your motor. With the PTS

motor grip, it is important that the wiring is routed to the front of the motor. See the following pictures for the proper layout of the wires (figure 2, figure 3).

6. Connect the red motor wire to the red terminal on the motor. The black motor wire connects to the non-colored terminal. Failure to connect the motor wires to their correct terminals can result in the motor running backwards and potential damage to the internal components.

7. Install the motor grip plate by threading in the rearmost screw first, followed by the screw on the bottom of the plate. When attaching the motor grip plate, take care that the motor guides on the inside of the motor grip plate are sitting between the motor body and the wiring and not damaging the wiring insulation.

8. Your Tier 1 Gearbox has had the motor height screw correctly adjusted from our workshop. However, certain variances within AEG receivers may necessitate some slight adjustment.

sensitivity, programming and more, please consult the Gate TITAN users manual at: https://gatee.eu/images/gate/instrukcje/titan-en.pdf
