Throwing Journal - DiscusJiwon Kim 7LGArm & Hand position

My fingers are evenly spread out over the discus, and the thumb is on the top of the discus.

My arm is back, rotating with body weight shifting from back to front. My other arm is thrown out in front to support discus.

Leg position

My legs are facing the direction that I was going to throw, and the right leg is slightly bent.

The weight is on the opposite from the direction that I was going to throw. When I rotate, My feet are facing to the right of the direction that I was going to throw.Rotation

I rotated for three times before throwing to practice.I rotated with body weight shifting from back to front. My right leg is bent so that I can rest my weight on.

Release

Discus came off of the ring finger and pinky.

Arm angle of release is about 40 degrees high.My body weight is traveling forward. ImprovementsMy hand position got better. Before, my fingers were all grabbing the discus, but now I rested all my fingers on the discus. When release, my arm angle got about 30 degrees higher. But still it has to be higher. My legs actually rotated, not fixed. Before, my legs stayed still and were facing the same direction, but now I rotated my legs.

Goal SettingI will get a perfect arm angle. (45 degrees)I will fully rotate my body to give more power.
