In the film Leon there is a hit man which is the man who looks after the littlegirl as she has no one from her family as they all got killed due to her father.

Also there is a gang of men who are immoral because they kill out the little girls family.

As well there is policemen who are there for safety towards the end of the film.

Likewise there is a little girl who is a innocent citizen who wants revenge because the gang of men killed out her family and then tried to kill Leon, which as the only person she had left who she could rely on.

Characters:

In this film there is use of iconography as people use weapons.

Such as guns, bombs also drugs.

Also the film is set in thecity which creates more atmosphere as if the main characters are in danger and the gangers want to kill them they aren't just outing themselves in danger they are putting innocent peoples lives at risk.The guns are used when the gun shoot out happens which is when the gang of men try to attack Leon and the littlegirl, this builds suspense as we feel sympathy towards the little girl as she has no family left as they all got killed and she is at risk of dying.

Iconography

Audio visual style is used when the fast editing when the shoots are cut between shots. This creates the thriller atmosphere as the guns make loads of noise which creates effect as well as seeing the action happen. gun shoot outs are typical to happen within a thriller film because guns connote danger and death. Also the screams of the men and the shouting build tension as it is effective and creates more atmosphere as it makes it more realistic.

Audio- Visual style

The themes within the film are love and revenge. We are show these as we learn that the little girl had love towards her little brother however she didnt like her family much as they didnt pay attention to her. Also she then starts to gain love towards Leon the hit man because his the only person who took her in when her family died and he is the only person who cared for her.

However revenge is also a theme within the film because the little girl wants revenge towards the gang of men because they killed her family and she was left with nothing.

themes

Suspense is built up during the film when the shoot out happens. This is becausea shootout happens and its a big group of men who are attacking Leon and the littlegirl in Leons flat.

Alsoinnocentslives were taken as the were killed by the gang ofmen, however this shows how the gangster group of men do not care about anyone they just want to cause trouble. Also they try and gain power over the little girl as they killed her family, however Leon was there to protect her away from the bad people.
