fundamentals and remember why you started your journey, it can help you get back on the
wagon with your healthy eating plan.
Choose foods from all of the colors of the rainbow! Fruits and vegetables that are very
brightly colored give you lots of nutrition without tons of calories. Ensure that each meal you
eat has one serving at least of veggies or fruit. Eat the skins of foods if they are edible. They
have antioxidants that are good for you.
If you dine out, consider splitting a meal with someone. Even when you choose carefully, you
can end up with more food (and more calories and fat) than you need. Splitting one entree
means you eat less and you spend less money. Now you can eat in a restaurant without
breaking your plan.
Children's lunches need either to be made by the parent or supervised by the parent when
the child packs it. This is the only way to ensure your child is eating healthy. Packing a lunch
allows you to completely control what goes in there. You do not have as much control when
you purchase a hot lunch from the school.
Review the product information on the label of any prepared food you eat. Even when
something is labeled "reduced-fat", it might be high in sugar, salt, or other unhealthy
ingredients. Your weight-loss diet should not include any processed foods. The listed
ingredients should ideally be common ones that are easily recognizable to people. One of the
biggest things to watch out for on a label is the number of artificial ingredients.
Don't try changing everything all at once. You should make a list of all the things you want to
change eventually and then go through the list one by one. Start with obvious offenders like
fried dishes and carbonated beverages. After these, you should be empowered to tackle
harder issues.
You must eat nutritiously in order to live a healthy life. Going through all the information out
there can be confusing, but learning the basics helps. Apply the tips given and you are going
