Why Change? The Future of AIAA Is at Stake.

• We are becoming less relevant to our members and potential members We are mostly “male, pale and stale” Young people ARE joiners, but they don’t stay with us

• We are weak in the things that the largest employers (and their employees?) look for from associations Technical activities throughout the value chain Recognition of technical and product excellence Educating the public and Congress about aerospace

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. 8
