heard the voice of God last night giving me directions in my job
search, and God wouldn't let me go to sleep until I agreed that I
would follow the directions. It took a while, unfortunately, as was

while walking my dog! My dog does pretty well on the leash but
still needs me to keep her out of traffic, away from broken glass,
pit bulls and off of private lawns. She needs me for direction,
protection, friendship and treats. I then realized that God does
the same for me. God walks beside me, protecting, guiding and
loving me on my journey through life. For that insight, I give
thanks. God talked to me through Eddie today at church. Eddie,
sometimes wild-looking, can be quite disruptive in church.
Apprehensively I watched him with sideward glances hoping he would
be quiet today. Then God reminded me to love him first as the child
of God he is and leave the rest to Him. Voice of God Slide 8 Upon
reflection on this topic, its clear to me that God has been
speaking to me all my life. Perception was the problem, as I see
it. During this current period of deep discontent in my life, my
Father in Heaven has spoken to me in myriad ways through those
around me. Through the ones who brought me food, He said I am still
nourishing your spirit though you dont see me. Through the ones who
gave me flowers, He said be of good cheer as you contemplate the
beauties of nature. Through those who spoke reassuring words, He
said, remember that Blessed Assurance is yours by My grace. Through
those who provide a steady stream of divinely-inspired words, He
says hear the voice of Jesus speaking to you. Through the sunshine,
the gentle breezes, the sound of rippling waters, the giant puffy
clouds on a clear day, He is saying feel the soothing presence of
the Holy Spirit in your life whom I and the Son have sent to help
you find consolation in the beauty of the magnificent Earth that I
have made your temporary dwelling place. Glory to the Holy Trinity,
around me and within me, whose presence Im amazingly made aware of
through my fellow human beings. Through them, my God is constantly
pouring out His perfect love. Its clear that I must be still and
shut out distracting things, and if I do, Ill hear Him saying,
Through those whom I have sent to assuage the intensity of the
challenges youve faced, know that I am telling you that My grace is
sufficient to sustain you as it comes into your life from sources
