Over the coming issues, we will be highlighting some of our most exciting facilities and floorplans in addition to coverage of our renowned social events and of course, the latest news on construction at the resort. You will also have first access to exclusive offers and prizes! If you haven’t already, please join our Facebook page that will give you access to all the latest GemLife news across the country.

Having been open just one month, the response to the announcement of GemLife Woodend has been tremendous with several deposits already having been received and

interest climbing exponentially. We can’t wait to share this premium resort!

On Wednesday, 13 September, we will be hosting a luncheon at the Macedon Ranges Hotel where we can discuss everything from feature facilities through to construction. The team and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

In the meantime, please get in touch with our exceptional team who will gladly organise a tour of the location or send you an information pack. We are so fortunate at GemLife to have such an outstanding community spirit that is well-established even before residents move in, so do keep an eye out for all upcoming invites!

Julie Cahill, Sales Manager for our Woodend resort, gives us the latest gossip:Thank you for your interest in GemLife Woodend and welcome to our first monthly newsletter.

Every month we will cover all the latest progress at the resort and any of the

wonderful social excursions we have had the joy of hosting.

At GemLife, we seek to foster active and flourishing communities before our residents even move in. This is a great way for new residents to get to know the high calibre of people we have living in the resort, and get a taste for the exceptional social scene in. Our sales team are also present at these get-togethers so you can ask any questions.

In this issue of the newsletter, we’ll be providing a brief insight into the neighbouring area surrounding the resort,

a calendar of fantastic local events, and highlighting some of our more coveted facilities and features.

Upcoming, we have our Meet the Owner luncheon, which is a fabulous opportunity to get to know each other and ask any questions – whilst also being treated to a delicious meal! If you are interested, please get in touch to RSVP.

Our brand new sales office is open on High Street in Woodend, so do feel free to pop in any time to have a chat! I greatly look forward to meeting all of you!

Enthusiasm for GemLife Woodend has been overwhelming with several deposits already being made. We hear of so many stories as to why people decide to buy with GemLife, whether that’s downsizing, treating themselves to luxury facilities or just looking to make a change. After the passing of her husband, Wilma Kirkpatrick needed a fresh start and has just put one of our villas on hold. She said: “It’s exactly what I need”.

The power is yoursIf you’ve been keeping an eye on the news lately, you’d have been shocked to find out that Australians are paying the highest electricity prices in the world – not a very nice title to have. As it stands, Australians are currently paying two to three times more than US citizens for power. Unfortunately, Victorians are paying the most expensive power bills out of all six states. Energy chiefs have been summoned to Canberra to explain themselves – with meetings resulting in alleged promises to change their ways.

Australians are currently paying two to three

times more than US citizens for power.

The shift from fossil fuels towards renewable energy has been received positively in Australia with more people turning to solar power to subsidise the exorbitant bills. Here at GemLife, we have also followed suit.

In light of the news, GemLife has made the decision to upgrade our resort’s homes from a 2kw solar PV system to a 3kw system as standard. In addition to solar, we have also upgraded the hot water systems to a more efficient heat pump.

Decisions like these can have a huge effect on energy saving, which is better for the environment – and your pockets. With all our homes using solar energy, any additional power sourced from the grid, is purchased at a bulk price – again saving you money.

We know that for those living on a fixed income – as the majority of our residents are – it is of vital importance to limit bills as much as possible. We have always been mindful of the locations in which our

resorts reside. We live in a stunning, natural paradise with a lot of sunshine – so the decision to harness that was very simple.

If you have a little trouble getting to grips with the ins and outs of solar energy, take a look at the above infographic.

If you have any further questions on solar power or our innovative new heat pump, please give our team a call on: 1800 931 188 or email at: [email protected].

Did you know? On average, per square

metre solar radiation availability in Australia

is the highest in the world.

Our facilities have evolved over time, with our experience allowing us to take note of exactly what our residents come to expect from a luxury resort. The highlight of our resorts is of course, the country club. This building houses everything you could possibly want – just metres from your doorstep.

We offer a fully licensed bar and restaurant -perfect for getting together with friends and family over a delicious meal and drink. If you prefer something a little more active, we offer a championship bowling green, tennis courts, ten-pin bowling alley and even virtual golf – all of which are fully covered and lit – so can be used rain or shine, night and day!

Don’t forget, our resorts are also pet-friendly and complete with an off-the-leash area so your dog can socialise as well as you!
