The pollen tube grows down the style.

The pollen grain nucleus travels down the pollen tube.

The pollen tube continues to grown until it reaches the ovary.

The pollen tube grows into the ovary and fuses with an ovule

The male gamete nucleus fuses with the female gamete (ovary).

This results in fertilisation of the flower.
