PRESIDENTS REPORT AUGUST 2016
It was pleasing to see so many people at the prize-giving to support their Club and the 2016 ClubChampionship Series trophy recipients for their endeavours on the track. Hopefully they will continue tobe successful this coming season, however other riders may have different ideas.
I wish to take the opportunity to thank, on your behalf, the work that the elected members do behindthe scenes so that the riders can go racing. I doubt that riders realise the time and effort put in by thesepeople. Thank you and good luck also to the executive members who retired this year. It is alsopleasing to see younger and new people standing for committee positions. It is your Club, becomeinvolved even if it is in a small way. Remember many hands make light work.
I am sure that everyone - spectators, volunteers and riders - will be suitably impressed with the worldclass facilities that the Club now has available at their back door to race on. When you have a worldclass facility it comes at a cost and the Club is very mindful of this so has decided to trim the AMCCChampionship Series back to 4 rounds instead of 5. Doing this will reduce the racing expenses thatriders will not have to allow for in their racing budgets and the associated costs of entry fees, wearand tear on bikes, tyres and miscellaneous costs.
The Budget:
National Circuit costs are: HD Costs: Track $15,500.00: Health and Safety $28.50 per rider, Ambulance $2,200.00 Club Costs: Marshals, Timing, Commentator, Ctas - $6,275.00
Club Budget for day $27,000.00
Club Circuit costs are:HD: Track $7,702.50: Health and Safety $28.50 per rider: Ambulance $2,200:00
Club Costs: Marshals, Timing, Commentator,Ctas - $5,020.00 Club Budget for day $16,000.00
The Club has based its entry fees on an assumption that 90 riders will enter per round. The only waythe entry fee can decrease is for more riders entering the Club Championships. The Club is alsoworking on securing sponsors for the Club Championship Series and this ongoing.
The Club is very excited about the prospect of being able to race not only on the National circuit, butalso on the new Club circuit which will be challenging to all riders of existing classes and the Club islooking at including extra classes, such as Motards and Buckets, so watch this space. The Club circuitis a real scratchers track circuit - one wrong move on one corner and it will affect the corners comingup, I am sure riders will enjoy this challenge. Club series dates and circuit are in the racing calendar.

AVALON BIDDLE - EJC
Ken Dobson has alerted AMCC that Av's van has blown up in France, leaving her stranded and with avery large recovery and repair bill. The money she now has to use for this was dedicated for track andtest days to keep her on the pace between the EJC Cup races. Ken is organising a whip-round foranyone who would care to contribute to get Avalon back on the road.
Please understand that Avalon has not asked for any help - and she does not know this is happening. After Thursday 11th, Ken will reconcile the donations with AMCC, and notify Avalon of what hashappened to support her. It should be a great surprise, and welcome boost as the second half of theEJC resumes.
So if you care to contribute pls do so - and support this terrific ambassador, not just for AMCC, but forroad-race, New Zealand, and women in all motorsport.
Note: the close off for this was 11 August
