Another year has passed and the directors have been hard at work planning the 152nd edition of the Riceville Fair. We have a few new ideas that will help fill in some gaps that we have found in our schedule and also provide a more rounded opportunity for our visitors of all ages to enjoy themselves, The improvements for this and the next couple of years will be focussed on our Exhibition Hall solidifying the structure for safety, creating a more user friendly entrance and adding space for more exhibits.

The Riceville Agricultural Society (RAS) not only works vigilantly to host the Fair but also other community events such as our Brunches and Suppers which are known County wide for the “Home cooking and desserts” but also partners with such groups as Bois Est who host the Riceville Wood Festival on our grounds. Our success is measured in being able to host and partner in as many local events to offer not only our closest neighbours entertainment and activity but also those who travel to come and visit family, friends or their “Old stomping grounds”.

RAS is made up of 18 directors, a treasurer and a secretary for a total of 20 official members. However, businesses, our municipality, family members, friends and volunteers make up 5 times our numbers and are the reason why RAS is able to host these community events with such success.

Here’s to another fun filled year!
