The Parts House WAREHOUSE TEAM MEMBER Job Title: Warehouse Team Member Department: Warehouse Reports To: Warehouse Manager or Location Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Summary Receive, stock and distribute material and products within the warehouse location, pull merchandise to be sold or shipped, and complete the following tasks: Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Pull, sort and organize merchandise. Stock auto parts in a neat and presentable fashion on the shelves, bins or appropriate locations. Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets or carts, and bring orders to packing station, driver tables or shipping department. Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Maintain quality control standards by checking each item as it is received or shipped. Open bales, crates and other containers. Weigh or count items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards. Accurately pull orders, with no more than two errors for every 100 lines pulled. Pull orders within the time frame given by supervisor. For “hot shot” or “shuttle” routes, notify the dispatcher immediately if you find a “zero”. Assist with any warehouse activities as directed by supervisor. Required Skills To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills: Punctuality o Able to consistently arrive to work, meetings and appointments on time. Language Skills o Able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondences; able to effectively present information to managers and fellow employees. Mathematical Skills o Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all American units of measurement, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Physical Demands o Able to stand or walk for prolonged periods, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds. Able to operate a pallet jack and a box knife. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral visions, as well as depth perception. Work Environment o Able to work in wet and/or humid conditions, use ladders for pulling parts, and be exposed to outside weather conditions and forklifts in the warehouse.
