The Elite Boiler shall be manufactured by HeatTransfer Products, Inc. which includes (6)models with an input ranging from 80,000 btuto 399,000 btu. Model EL-__________ having amodulation input range of __________ Btu /Hr. shall be operated on Natural or L.P. gas.The combustion chamber shall be designed todrain condensation to The back of the unit, where a condensate collection container, willcontain a float switch to monitor thecondensate flow and will have clean out forperiodic maintenance. The boiler shall bear theASME “H” Stamp with a working pressure of160 PSI and shall be National Board Listed. The complete heat exchanger assembly shallcarry a 12 year limited warranty. The boilershall be a sealed combustion system, takingonly outside air for combustion andexhausting the flue gas with a ULC-636 CPVCconnector for 3” PVC or CPVC. The largerBTU models EL-299 and EL-399 shall have astainless steel adapter for 4” PVC or CPVC.The boiler’s total combined equivalent length, including fitting allowances for both intakeand exhaust shall not exceed 200 Feet. Thevent connections shall be located on the top of

the boiler to allow for optional wall mountedinstallations. The EL-80 and EL-110 may besized down to 2 inch vent with a totalequivalent length of 100 feet.CAUTION: Foam core pipe is NOT anapproved material for either intake/exhaustpiping.The boiler shall be used in a closed looppressurized system that shall require aproperly sized thermal expansion tank to meetlocal codes. The boiler’s heat exchanger shallbe constructed of 316 L stainless steel, builtand tested in accordance with ANSI Z21.13b-2002 and Canadian National Standard CGA-4.9a-2002.The boiler shall be UL/ULC listed (File # MH27745) and shall exceed minimum efficiency requirements of ASHRAE /103-1993 with anAFUE rating of 95% and low temperatureefficiency of 98% based on ASHRAE 103 –proposed 2003 Low-Water TemperatureSeasonal Efficiency (LWTSE). The EL-399 shallhave a thermal efficiency rating of 96% astested to BTS 2000.

Boiler ControlThe boiler shall have an integrated digital controlsystem utilizing an algorithm to fully adjust thefiring rate while maintaining the desired outputtemperature of the boiler. Combustion gas and airare premixed prior to introduction to the stainlesssteel sintered burner using a low voltage gas valveand variable speed fan. The boiler control usespulse width modulation to send a commandsignal to the fan which adjusts the volume ofcombustion air and gas supplied to the burner. The integrated control is connected to a systemdisplay allowing the user to change systemparameters and monitor the boiler outputs. Thecontrol shall provide a means for adjustments ofthe operating temperature from 50˚ to 200˚ with adifferential adjustment of 5˚-30˚. The control shallbe set up to monitor outdoor temperature throughan outdoor sensor and can be further enhanced byconnecting to an indirect water heater to providedomestic hot water. The control shall also regulatemultiple boilers (up to eight) through a cascadesystem functioning as one boiler system. Thisallows for greater turn down ratios and systematiccontrol to maximize efficiency. The control shallalso have a 0-10 volt input available to connect toa building management system.
