The man, the woman and the man (2)

On first, second and perhaps third impressions, the perception of the man in the picture below would struggle to be a positive one. A scruffy, unshaven middle-aged man smoking a cigarette would rarely provoke a positive reaction. This rather untrendy gentleman’s appearance suggests that he is perhaps cash-strapped, and maybe even homeless.

In actual fact, these perceptions can be deemed as severe misconceptions. The scrappy looking gentleman above is actually Doug Bihlmaier, a buyer for Ralph Lauren who is known for having a good eye for aesthetics. Bihlmaier is well renowned with in his industry and is respected throughout the fashion world. From his occupation, he has generated a lot of money and is therefore anything but cash-strapped or homeless.

At first glance, this woman struck me as a middle-aged woman, with a quirky fashion sense. The clothes she is wearing are not necessarily highly fashionable, however the give off a relatively expensive vibe. This woman is dressed in such a manner that I thought of her to perhaps be an agent or a film director, without essentially having a famous face.

Whatever conceptions one previously has of this woman are likely to be distant from the reality, as one would imagine that she wouldn’t be in the line of work that she is. This is Julie Christie, a highly popular female actress who hit the heights of her fame over the two decades of the sixties or seventies. Throughout her period of mass popularity, she was deemed a female icon due to her attractiveness, and many young females aspired to be and look like her, seeing her as somewhat of a role model.

Finally, the man in the picture below comes across as a relatively smart, well-dressed and elegant man. His clothes and garments match with one and other, and he seems like he takes pride in his appearance. As well as matching, his clothes are appearing to be very expensive and rare, which suggests that this gentleman is very wealthy.

My previous conceptions are somewhat accurate. The man in this photo is Christian Louboutin, a French shoe designer who has many years of experience in the fashion industry. Because of his longevity within his industry, his occupation has earned him many millions. His unique fashion sense further reinforces his wealth that he has at his disposal.
