HOW DO I CHOOSE A GOAL?

HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT I WANT?

These two questions are asked more often than

any other questions by participants in our Seminars.

    GOAL ACHIEVERS MAKE THEIRGOALS WORTHWHILE

There are people wh o alwa ys play i t safe . They never t ackle more tha n t hey

ar e sure they can h an dle wit hout effort a nd r isk. Thus they invite neither tr iumph

nor defeat . They never lear n th e greatn ess of th eir menta l abili ty , nor the strength

of th eir enduran ce. On th e cont ra ry, G oal Achievers are potent ia l path finders,

eagerly in search of a t r a il to blaze. Make sure your goal is big and int erest ing

enough t o really fire up your emotions.

GOAL ACHIEVERS MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS

Only YOU can decide wha t y our goal is going t o be. Although a nother person

    - your spouse, par ent , employer or a ssociat e - ma y offer suggestions, YOU an d only

YOU, can m ake th e final decision. There is no one in t he entir e world wh o is capa ble

of set t ing your goal for you. I f t hey try , and t hey probably w ill, do NOT permit i t to

ha ppen. You w ill not commit yourself to someone else's goal or one you set t o please

    someone else.

    GOAL ACHIEVERS CHOOSE WANTSNOT NEEDS

YOUR GOAL SHOULD BE SOMETHING YOU WANT,not something youneed. There is no inspira tion in needs; THERE IS INSPIRATION IN WANTS.The goal does not h ave t o be logical, in fa ct , you w ill proba bly be much m ore inspired

if it is t ota lly illogical. The road t o your goal ma y be a r ough one, t herefore it is very

import an t for you to be very emotionally involved with th e idea of rea ching your goal .

    GOALS MUST BE SPECIFIC

Achieving goals is a crea t ive process. The first step in t he creat ion of your A-1 goal

t akes pla ce in your conscious mind. Thr ough th e a id of your senses an d/or your

imagina tion, you must form a very clear , concise image of yourself already in possessionof your goal. This image or pictur e should then be painted w ith w ords in as much deta il
