Day 1: Board Your Overnight Flight to Rome!

Day 2: Rome

Arrive in RomeWelcome to Rome, the Eternal City. The city is an incredible mix ofarcheological gems, Roman genius, Renaissance art and religioustreasure. As Italy's capital, it is also the bustling heart of this excitingcountry. With its fashionable shopping and café-culture, Rome reallyis a unique European experience.

Free Time at the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona(time permitting)Enjoy free time in Piazza di Spagna. Climb the staircase to view thecity below, or take the time to wander through one of Rome's mostpopular shopping areas. Alternatively, snag a moment to relaxamongst the hustle and bustle of the city while enjoying a traditionalItalian treat- gelato. You should also make sure to wander over to thefamed Trevi Fountain and toss in a coin to ensure your return toRome.

Day 3: Rome

Guided Sightseeing of Ancient RomeYour guided sightseeing of ancient Rome takes you into the ForumRomanum, once the heart of the Roman Empire. You will also visit theColosseum, where gladiators once battled for their lives in front of50,000 spectators.

Business Visit to EatalyThis afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit this high-endItalian food chain inspired by slow food. Eataly's goal is to introduce anew way of distributing high quality agricultural products, inspired bythe themes of sustainability, responsibility and sharing. A guide willdiscuss these themes and the business' marketing strategies whileyou learn about the production of various foods and sample pizza,beer, cheese, cold cuts and espresso.

Fraschette Dinner in AricciaThe tradition of the fraschette goes back to the medieval times ofRome, and was essentially pit stops full of wine for travelers on theway from the countryside to the capital. They have remained nearlyunchanged in their rustic and hospitable nature, but today patrons arealso treated to generous servings of artisanal cheeses, olives andthick cuts of savory porchetta-whose buttery fame has spread as faras Brooklyn but originates right here in Ariccia.

Guided Sightseeing of the VaticanThe world's largest dome is located in the world's smallest country.See both as you tour St. Peter's Basilica, erected in Vatican City onthe site where the saint was martyred. Enter the basilica under thewatchful eyes of the brightly dressed Swiss Guard. Inside, admireMichelangelo's Pietà and try to find the artist's signature (it is the onlysculpture he ever signed). Then continue on to the Vatican Museum,where elaborate galleries packed with one artistic masterpiece afteranother lead you directly to the Sistine Chapel. Between 1508 and

1512, Michelangelo painted some of the world's finest pictorialimages on the Chapel's ceiling. This was his first attempt at workingin fresco, which he did by standing up and craning backwards from ascaffold.

Moving Kitchen Cooking CompetitionCompete with your fellow travelers in a cooking contest trying yourhands at a typical Italian recipe. Judges will award a prize for thewinning team followed by an included dinner for all.

Day 7: Florence | Alba Region

Take a Spanish Cooking ClassLearn about the heart and soul of one of the pillars of Spanish culture.In today's cooking class, you will learn how to cook some of the mosttraditional dishes in Spain, such as paella and gazpacho.
