The British Mycological Society Photographic Slide Collection

The Society's extensive photographic slidecollection is available to all Members andAssociates, generally for the purpose of lectureillustration. The collection consists of more than4000 transparencies, representing most genera ofmacrofungi, together with a few ancillarycollections on specialised topics.

A computerised database is being preparedand will become available on the Web. Meanwhilea simplified printout is available, on request, at acost of £1.50.

To borrow slides, please give enoughnotice, i.e. at least three weeks; listing themalphabetically would be helpful. The loan is for amaximum of four weeks, although extensions canbe negotiated and, although there is no charge,postage should be refunded.

This is an active and well used collection andnew and improved contributions are always mostwelcome. Slides are not available to be used forpublication outside of the Society and the BMSmust be first approached on all mattersconcerning copyright regulations.

The collection is now housed in the JosephBanks Building at the Royal Botanic Gardens,Kew, and is managed by Gill Butterfill. All offersand requests should be sent to her at the addressbelow.
