Breckinridge County Sheriff McQUADY—According to a report filed Dec. 27 by Sher- iff Todd Pate, Meade County RECC, Hardinsburg, reported the removal of approximately 14,000 feet of neutral wire from an existing electrical line the Old Railroad. The line was removed from electrical service that extended from the Rockvale area and the Old Railroad bed area. WEBSTER—According to a report filed Jan. 1 by Deputy Billy Richardson, Troey Dore, Webster, reported a burglary at his residence at 2810 N. Hwy. 333. A pry tool was used to gain entry to the home some- time between Dec. 22 and Jan. 1. The residents complained of a strong smell in the home that burned their eyes, and they were concerned someone had cooked or used metham- phetamine in the house. No evidence was found inside the home or outside on the property to support this theory. There were muddy foot prints on the floor and it appeared someone had been sitting on the living room couch. The only item stolen was a 42- inch plasma television valued at $200. The residents also advised that their cat had been burned. Its whiskers had been singed and its feet were sore. GARFIELD—According to citations filed Jan. 3 by Deputy Jim Beauchamp, Paul A. Corbin, 36, Custer, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. three miles south of Garfield on KY 86. Corbin was served two warrants from Meade County, a warrant from Jef- ferson County, a warrant from Shelby County, and two warrants from Breckinridge County—one for failure to pay fines and costs and the other for burglary 2nd degree, cruelty to animals 2nd degree, and terroristic threatening 3rd degree. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 3 by Deputy Chris Woosley, Kevin J. Gannaway, 41, Ow- ensboro, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. on Glen Nash Lane. Gan- naway was served a warrant from Daviess County. ROSETTA—According to a report filed Jan. 4 by Deputy Virgil Phillips, three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident around 7:45 a.m. on Rosetta-Corners Road near Big Meadow Lane. Jesse Hiland, 23, Irvington, was eastbound in a 1999 Ford Explorer when he said he fell asleep. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and ran through a fence. Hiland and two passengers—Jeffery Peck, 23, and Japheth Pate, 18, both of Irvington—were transported by ambulance to Breckinridge Memorial Hos- pital. The vehicle was towed from the scene. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 4 by Deputy Chris Woosley, Eddie D. Elliott, 44, Westview, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. at the Courthouse. Elliott was served a warrant from Breckinridge County. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 4 by Deputy Kenny Basham, Richard L. Schoenlaub, 30, Custer, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. at the Courthouse. Schoenlaub was served a warrant from Breckinridge County. CLOVERPORT—Accord- ing to a citation filed Jan. 4 by Deputy Chris Woosley, Jerome S. Corley, 41, Hardins- burg, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. on US 60. Corley was served a warrant from Perry County, Ind., for contempt of court. AXTEL—According to a citation filed Jan. 6 by Deputy Jim Beauchamp, Joseph L. Davidson, 36, Hardinsburg, was arrested at 9:44 a.m. on Axtel Circle Lane. Davidson was charged with assault 4th degree. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a report filed Jan. 7 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Larry T. Collard, Hardinsburg, reported damage to a door at rental property he owns on US 60. Nothing was reported taken from the building. BIG SPRING—Accord- ing to a report filed Jan. 7 by Captain Rick Knight, James R. Dugan, Vine Grove, reported vandalism and the theft of personal property at his resi- dence on KY 690. Between Jan. 1 and 7, someone popped the lock out of Dugan’s wife’s car. Taken from the home were $900 in change, $50 in frozen meat, a fishing pole, and about $300 worth of DVDs and VCR tapes. There was no forced entry to the home. There is a suspect in the case. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 10 by Deputy Virgil Phil- lips, David E. Henderson, 23, Amelia, Ohio, was arrested at 9 a.m. at the Courthouse. Hen- derson was served a warrant from Hancock County. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 10 by Captain Rick Knight, Michael S. Finley, 21, Har- dinsburg, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. at the Courthouse. Finley was served a bench warrant from Breckinridge County. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to citations filed Jan. 11 by Deputy Virgil Phillips, Chadwick Strong, 35, Louis- ville, was arrested at 8 a.m. at the Courthouse. Roberts, 30, Harned, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. on Glen Nash Lane. Rob- erts was served a warrant from Meade County. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 12 by Deputy Chris Woosley, Ronald Axton, 52, Cloverport, was arrested at 10:07 a.m. on Chambliss Drive. Axton was served a warrant from Daviess County. GARFIELD—According to a report filed Jan. 13 by Deputy Jimmy Gilpin, one person was injured in a one- vehicle accident at 10 a.m. one mile east of Garfield on Webb Road. Travis W. Basham, 48, Irvington, was eastbound in a 2007 Honda Accord when he met another vehicle in the roadway on an ice-covered hill. Basham attempted to avoid the other vehicle and the car ran off the roadway and into a ditch, causing it to overturn. The car came to rest on the roadway. Basham was transported by ambulance to Breckinridge Memorial Hos- pital. The car was towed from the scene with severe damage. McDANIELS—Accord- ing to a report filed Jan. 13 by Deputy Jimmy Gilpin, no injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 10:58 a.m. 2-1/2 miles south of McDaniels on KY 79. Wayne L. Henning, 50, Har- dinsburg, was northbound in a 1998 Chevy pickup. Johnny J. Whitworth approached the intersection with KY 1740 and attempted to stop at the stop sign. Whitworth said his brakes failed, and his 1994 Ford F250 struck Henning’s truck in the side. Both trucks remained in service with mi- nor damage. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed Jan. 13 by Deputy Jim Beauchamp, Allen J. Simpson, 21, Hardins- burg, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. on Glen Nash Lane. Simpson was served a warrant from Breckinridge County. McDANIELS—Accord- ing to a report filed Jan. 14 by Captain Rick Knight, no injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at 9:03 p.m. south of McDaniels at the intersection of KY 737 and KY 259. Bill E. Wright, 63, Wasilla, Alaska, was northbound on 737 in a 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback. As the vehicle approached the in- tersection, it slid out of control on the wet roadway, crossed 259, and struck a utility pole. McDANIELS—Accord-ing to a report fi led Jan. 14 by Captain Rick Knight, no injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at 9:03 p.m. south of McDaniels at the intersection of KY 737 and KY 259. Bill E. Wright, 63, Wasilla, Alaska, was northbound on 737 in a 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback. As the vehicle approached the in-tersection, it slid out of control on the wet roadway, crossed 259, and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene with minor to mod-erate damage.
