A Strategy Game is a game where you as a player can move and operate soldiers, workers, people, vehicles, planes, etc. and build structures, villages, cities, etc. Mostly the game objective is to be better than your opponent. But to beat your opponent, you need to be a great soldier, policies, researcher, tactician and many more. I must say that strategy games genre is not so atractive like Action Game genre but if its a good Strategy game then it can be really fun playing it and I personally really like games where you need a lot of thinking, tactics and fast decisions. But I must say that I prefer playing real-time strategy games because there is more action. If you didn't played a strategy games yet I would advise you to try it.

Herzog Zwei was the first real-time strategy game released in 1989. Then in 1992 one of my favorite games of my childhood was released which is called Dune II. Dune II popularized the strategy game genre. Then in year 2000 Total War was released by The Creative Assembly. From then the Total War series became the most successful strategy game series of all time.
