The ASAM Criteria Change Agent Training Trainings sponsored by the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery This training enables participants to become on-site Change Agents for their organizations to support building and maintaining a culture of individualized services around The ASAM Criteria. Objectives Understand the role of a Change Agent Discuss system change and implementation principles Review The ASAM Criteria Support Tool Learn how to write change plans Develop implementation strategies and ways to address obstacles Training Prerequisites Solid foundation with and experience using the ASAM criteria Position in a leadership role (with or without title) Completion of The ASAM Criteria Support Tool and coaching calls after training* Possess a copy of The ASAM Criteria, 3rd edition (The ASAM Criteria can be purchased at www.asamcriteria.org.) Prior participation in a Two-day Skill- building Training on The ASAM Criteria is required for registration *Supervisor agreement is required for coaching calls after training Continuing education will be offered. This program has been approved for 6.5 contact hours through NAADAC. Certificates will not be issued until completion of the training session and 4 hours of coaching calls. Train for Change Inc.
