through its IQAC. The report is to detail the tangible results achieved in key areas, specifically

identified by the institutional IQAC at the beginning of the academic year. The AQAR will detail

the results of the perspective plan worked out by the IQAC. (Note: The AQAR period would be

the Academic Year. For example, July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013)

Revised format of scheme of marks allocation: The earlier mark allocation was as follows:

Section A 15x1, Section B 4x5 and Section C 10x5, which was changed to 10x1, 5x5 and 10x5

in order to give 50% weightage to section B in comparison to section C. Reduction in the number

of objectives in Section A from 15 to 10 was done because it was observed that setting 15

objectives was very time consuming.

Upgradation in Examination Module of the Software: Software was updated in order to meet

the requirement of the annual pattern of the examination according to the M.P. Higher Education.

Quality of the mark sheets have been upgraded (Non-crushable and non- tamperable)

Moderation of the question paper is done on the day of examination to ensure greater

College website, Digital notice board, college notice board and morning and afternoon

assemblies.

It informs its major stakeholders about different student support services like digital library,

book bank, central instrumentation laboratory, clubs and societies, examination cell, active

student council, anti-ragging committee, counselling centre, suggestion box, three tier

feedback system, one to one mentoring and parent teacher meeting through student

orientation program in the beginning of the session.

To track the progression of students various initiatives undertaken by the institution includes

Centralized CCE written test, feedback mechanism, remedial class, Group discussion,

Advance learners teach weak learners under the guidance of teachers, Class test [oral and

written], Assignments, extra classes, provision of model questions,Tutorial, Debate,

Seminars, prelim practical examination, One to one student – teacher interaction with

problem solving approach, guidance to weak learners whenever required, Surprise Test and

participation of PG students in National Conferences and workshops.

Students with poor performance in quarterly and CCE exams were given individual care for

solving their problems followed by class test. Students were allotted

internship/project/dissertation on community based topics to create awareness and develop

scientific perspective among them. Certain difficult topics were retaught on request of

students for further clearance of doubts. The UG students were counseled, guided and made

aware of the applicability of various subjects so that they could peruse education at the PG

level. Besides these, mentoring of students, information to parents and follow up of

attendance are done on regular basis in the college to track the progression of students.

way of file sharing between the departments and the IQAC cell. This helps

in timely uploading of half yearly and annual reports and documents.

5) Evidence of Success:

E-Governance solution has changed the way administration was being done. The

solution incorporates whole data and processes of the college into a unified

system, making the process uncomplicated, well-organized and error proof. The

solution is designed to make the system user-friendly, time saving and cost

saving and has also helped in improving transparency, providing speedy

information, dissemination and improving administrative efficiency.Because of

effective E-Governance, relevant information flows transparently and easily

between the administration and the stakeholders of the institution.

6) Problems Encountered and Resources Required: Autonomous academic

institutions are prone to change in the examination and academic schemes. The

frequent updations in the system becomes challenging. The change in system

demands various types of report generation which is time consuming.

Feedback from stakeholders

The departments collect feedback on curriculum and courses from stakeholders such

as the Students, Alumni, and Peer group, Faculty, Industry and Employers through

feedback forms, suggestion box and other formal and informal methods.

The feedbacks given by the alumni and industrialists have been incorporated in the

curriculum in form of Industrial/Educational tours and field visits for practical

exposure of students. The various MOUs with industry and market are the outcome of

this feedback system thereby providing better employability and growth opportunities.

The Board of studies of various departments and Academic Council also contribute in

curriculum enrichment thereby ensuring academic excellence. Periodic analysis is

made by Academic Council of the following: curricular aspects, student performance,

faculty performance in every semester, utilization of infrastructure and requirements

for quality enrichment. Their suggestions are taken into consideration as many

modifications in the curriculum and new courses have been introduced (see Annexure

III). Updations in curriculum are based on parameters like Skill development,

Entrepreneurship and Employability.

The feedback from employers, and constituents of industry have emphasised on

additional skills imparted through add-on courses. The students have also stated in

their feedback a need for the introduction of new value added courses. Based on such

responses, various courses such as Income tax return e-filling & filing in Commerce

and Tally with GST and Diploma in computer operator and other job oriented courses

have been initiated. As an outcome of feedback internship training in vermi-composting

was also started.

There has been a specific feedback from the students regarding organization of on-site

training and live interaction with experts on varied fields with institutions of national

and international repute. The College has taken several steps in this regard e.g.

Interaction Programme and Global Understanding Programme conducted with East

Carolina University, USA.
