“Staatsburg Spirit Day” Art Show
“Light It Up Blue”
Linda C, the organizer of the "Staatsburg Spirit Day" (Staatsburg, NY), has once again asked
our students to participate in her annual art show. I gladly excepted her invitation.
This year the "Staatsburg Spirit Day" will be held on Saturday, June 11th and the art show
will be on display at the Staatsburg Fire House. I hope to see you there!!
“Thank You” The Art Department and staff of the ACA received a very nice card from the mother of Christo-
pher T. (Rm. 311) thanking us for our support of her son and for the inclusion of his artwork in
the upcoming “Young Emerging Artists” art exhibit (see next page for more info). Her kind
words were very much appreciated!! Thanks!!

During the month of March stu-
dents were hard at work creating
Spring inspired collages that de-
pict blossoms, green leaves, blue
sky, and colorful birds (examples
on front page & below).
Through the completion of this
project, students once again had
the opportunity to strengthen
their painting, stenciling, coloring,
and collage skills.
1. Jesse B. (Rm. 309) using oil pastels to
stencil his bird.
2. Mathew P’s (Rm. 117) completed collage.
3. Jessica C’s (Rm. 119) “Spring Blossoms”
collage.
4. “Spring Blossoms” Bulletin Board with
“Spring Leaves” Border.
