I gladly excepted her invitation. This year the "Staatsburg Spirit Day" will be held on Saturday, June 11 th and the art show will be on display at the Staatsburg Fire House. (Rm. 311) thanking us for our support of her son and for the inclusion of his artwork in the upcoming “Young Emerging Artists” art exhibit (see next page for more info). “Staatsburg Spirit Day” Art Show

“Light It Up Blue”

Linda C, the organizer of the "Staatsburg Spirit Day" (Staatsburg, NY), has once again asked

our students to participate in her annual art show. I gladly excepted her invitation.

This year the "Staatsburg Spirit Day" will be held on Saturday, June 11th and the art show

will be on display at the Staatsburg Fire House. I hope to see you there!!

“Young Emerging Artists” Exhibit I wanted to remind everyone to keep their calendar open for the “Young Emerging Artists”

art exhibit. Once again the students of the ACA will take part in this annual show organized by

the Dutchess Day School (Millbrook, NY).

This year’s show will be held at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center

(F.D.R. Presidential Library and Museum—Hyde Park, NY) on April 8-10th, with an opening

reception on Friday, April 8th at 4:00PM. I hope to see you all there!!

Seven of our students will have art there, including:

During the month of March stu-

dents were hard at work creating

Spring inspired collages that de-

pict blossoms, green leaves, blue

sky, and colorful birds (examples

on front page & below).

Through the completion of this

project, students once again had

the opportunity to strengthen

their painting, stenciling, coloring,

and collage skills.

1. Jesse B. (Rm. 309) using oil pastels to

stencil his bird.
