AArrrriivvaall DDaattee TTrraavveell DDeettaaiillss All Groups should arrive on 25 July or 26 July 2005 Those, who arrive earlier, are requested to give special information to the Organizing Committee Chairman. VViissaass TTrraavveell DDeettaaiillss By now the following countries need a visa for entering Germany: Algeria, the Bahamas, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dominican Republic, Grenada, India, Iran, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam. Travellers from these countries must contact the German embassy in their country not later than 90 days before the championships to apply for a visa. You also must send a list with the names (first name and last name), dates of birth and the dates of issue and expiry of the passports of all those travelling to the Organizing Committee Chairman not later than 90 days before the championships. You must name one person out of your group (giving the telephone -number, the fax number and the email address of this person), who will be at the disposal for further inquiries to the representations abroad. ITF-Deutschland is going to inform German Embassies and Consulates about the 14th World Taekwon-Do Championships in order to support those applying. In principle a visa-requiring participant needs an official invitation letter or accreditation letter of the federation, which they must submit during filing of an application in the original with the visa request for the documentation of their travel purpose. Beyond that it must be proven likewise that the applicant has sufficient means, in order to finance the stay in Germany. In addition the financial security of his stay (also for medical care or treatment) should be furnished by the applicant. Therefore an appropriate travel health insurance should be locked by the participant. Furthermore the representations abroad must examine the remaining conditions before visa distribution. In general the German Foreign Office gives visa for sporting events generously. However, it is important that you apply for a visa in time and that all documents required are complete.




MMeeeettiinngg PPooiinntt TTrraavveell DDeettaaiillss Members of the Organizing Committee receive all arriving groups or individuals at the Hilton Hotel An der Buschmühle 1 44139 Dortmund Phone ++49-231-10860 on 25 July and 26 July 2005 . All inscriptions and further arrangements will be taken care of there. The Organizing Committee is offering a shuttle service from Dortmund Airport and Dortmund Main Station as well as upon request. (See also section ID-Card) LLiiaaiissoonn FFlliigghhttss TTrraavveell DDeettaaiillss There are liaison flights to Dortmund from the following airports:

- Berlin (Tempelhof) - London (Luton) - Madrid - Munich - Paris (CDG) - Rome (Ciampino) - Vienna

Delegations flying to Düsseldorf Airport should take the train from Düsseldorf Airport to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (main station). Trains are leaving almost every 30 minutes. Travel time will be 45 – 60 minutes. The costs for the regional train are 7,50 € per person (current price). A group ticket costs 18,45 € (starting from 5 persons/current price) The price for the ICE (special fast train) is 18,40 € per person (current price) JJoouurrnneeyy wwiitthh tthhee ccaarr TTrraavveell DDeettaaiillss Those going to the Hilton Hotel on their own may follow this route description: Vehicles: - Approaching Dortmund on the freeway/motorway “A40”/”B1” - leave “A40” by following “B54” direction “Hagen / Frankfurt” - leave “B54” at exit “Stadtkrone” keep right - cross the bridge and turn left at the next traffic light - pay attention for the “ITF Parking” at the right hand side.




Underground / Main Station: - If you are travelling by train you will arrive at the main station. - proceed to the underground station

- you may catch either “U45” or “U49” with the destination “Hacheney” or “Westfalenhallen”. - leaving the underground at the station “Westfalenpark” - follow the signs to the Hilton Hotel

BBooookkiinngg AApppplliiccaattiioonn DDeettaaiillss Booking / application in advance is absolutely essential for all competitors and officials and would be advantageous for the supporters as well. All your booking / application documents must be delivered to the Organizing Committee Chairman not later than 4 June 2005. If you need a visa for entering Germany please pay attention to the additional obligations to follow. (See also section “Visa – Travel Details”) IIDD--CCaarrdd AApppplliiccaattiioonn DDeettaaiillss Inside the Indoor Stadium you will find different areas (i.e.: changing rooms, competition area, training areas, VIP lounge etc.) with free access only to those, who can present the valid ID-Card. For the majority of you, like competitors and officials, the ID-Card is compulsory. Even for your supporters the ID-Card would be advantageous. 2. ID-Card Without Accommodation Booking Persons, who do not book their accomodation over ITF Germany have to apply for a minor ID-Card to get access to the Championship Events. The rate for this ID-Card will be 150,00 €. You are also requested to pay at least 50 % of the total amount by Bank Transfer in time and the remains cash at the Meeting Point right after your arrival. (See above) 3. Competition Entry Fee Every single competitor has to pay 85,00 € as a Competition Entry Fee. The payment will be made cash along with the inscription procedure at the Meeting Point right after your arrival. There will be no Team Competition Entry Fee. Notice: The Organizer will not accept credit cards nor cheques nor foreign currencies!

CCoommppeettiittiioonn Team A team may consist of a minimum of five (5 + 1 reserve) and a maximum of ten (10) competitors who are not necessarily elected out of the individual competitors. That will give you the opportunity to choose any five (5 + 1 reserve) out of the ten (10) to form your best team for Sparring, Pattern, Power and Special Technique. RReegguullaattiioonnss CCoommppeettiittiioonn Competitor

- must be citizen of the country they represent, as stated in his / her passport - must have printed the name of the country represented on the back of the dobok(s)

(just above the belt level) - must wear the official ITF dobok while competing - should bring a pair of red and a pair of blue sparring safety equipment - must be holder of a valid ITF Black Belt degree certificate and registered with his /

her national association - must show at the accreditation / weigh in the ITF Black Belt degree certificate card

and the national citizens passport - may wear sponsorship on the right or left sleeve of the dobok which should not extend

the following size: Length 10 cm – Height 5 cm - must wear the dobok or the national track suit when taking part in the opening, closing

and awarding ceremony - must be in a good health condition - competitors must be from 18-35 years old born among the years from 1970 to 1987

Coach

- must wear either a training suit or a T-shirt and pants and running shoes while coaching

- should have printed the name of the country represented on the track suit or on the T-shirt

- only one (1) coach of a country is allowed entering the coaching zone at the same time - only a coach can present an official protest - not more than four (4) coaches per country will have access to the drawing and to the

coaches meeting on 27 July 2005




Umpire

- must wear the official ITF umpire dress (white long sleeved shirt, blue tie, blue pants, white sport shoes and white socks) when on duty

- must attend the Umpire Meeting 27 July 2005 at Park Hotel - ITF-Deutschland will cover a 7days/6nights hotel accommodation at Park Hotel

including full board arrangement (breakfast, lunch and dinner – no drinks included) from 26 July 2005 on to 1 August 2005 for one (1) umpire per country

- other umpires are welcomed to attend the championships but must pay for their accommodation on their own

RReepprreesseennttaattiioonn CCoommppeettiittiioonn National Flag and National Anthem The Organizing Committee kindly asks you to bring the National Flag (2m x 1m) and the National Anthem (on CD) of the country you are representing. Of course the Organizing Committee will give it back to you by the end of the championships.
