    TECH TAKES FINAL ROAD TRIP AT KANSASTexas Tech takes its final road trip of the regular season this weekend when the Red Raiders open a three-game series at Kansas Friday evening at Arrocha Ballpark in Lawrence.

    TECH POSTS THIRD-STRAIGHT 30-WIN SEASONWith six regular season games remaining, Tech has al-ready reached the 30-win mark for the third-straight year, marking the first time since 1997-99 that the program has done so. The Red Raiders currently stand 37-13 over-all and 10-8 in Big 12 play entering the Kansas series this weekend. After opening the year 1-4 at the Arizona State Kajikawa Classic, Tech has won 36 of 45 games since that point, with wins in nine of 17 contests against ranked op-ponents. The Red Raiders will be looking to reach the 40-win mark for the second-straight year as well.

    WEEK 12: at KANSAS GAME 51-53

    PRACTICESPlayers and coaches are available for interviews ev-ery day prior to the start of practice. Practice usu-ally begins at 2:15 (batting cages) on weekdays, and media members wishing to attend should contact Matt Dowdy in the Athletics Communications office beforehand.

    PLAYER/HEAD COACH INTERVIEWSTexas Tech student-athletes and head coach Sha-non Hays are available most days prior to practice. Hays can also be reached at various points during the day. Normally following weekend road trips, players and coaches are available on the following Monday, which is normally the scheduled off day for the team. To set up an interview, please contact Matt Dowdy.

    POSTGAME INTERVIEWSTexas Tech players and head coach Shanon Hays will be made available to the media just outside the home dugout following a brief cooling off period. The Texas Tech clubhouse will remain closed.

    CREDENTIALSMedia members wishing to cover the Texas Tech softball team at Rocky Johnson Field during the 2012 season must be issued a working credential from the Texas Tech Athletics Communications of-fice. All requests for both media and photo creden-tials must be made either in writing or via e-mail at least a day in advance to Matt Dowdy, Assistant Di-rector for Athletic Communications. (Fax: (806) 742-1970; e-mail: [email protected]) Credentials can be picked up in the Athletics Communications office (south end of Jones AT&T Stadium) or at the ticket office outside the stadium entrance on game-days.
