TEQIP-II

Agenda for discussion and approval

1. To get approval for the appointment of consultant for NBA Accreditation in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

At least 60% of ourUGprogrammes should be accredited. Accreditation are awarded based on the sufficient Infrastructures, Student Faculty

Ratio, Faculties Qualifications, and others College Activities. Accreditation1 is a formal, third party recognition of competence of our

Colleges. In NBA, the Course will be accredited based on courses. The Department of Science and Technology is very keen to move for

accreditation of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering course. The accreditation fees for 3 Course will be Rs 9.00 lakhs.

Accreditation is essential to promote quality conscious where excellence, relevance to market needs and participation by all stake holders are

prime and major determinants. It is important to set the quality benchmarks targeted at global and national level. We have to make evaluation

and self-assessment of our programmes mentioned above. Therefore, it is urgent need to appoint consultant for preparing the self-appraisal

reports of our Institution based on guidelines, norms and standards specified by NBA.

2. To seek approval of revised procurement plan for the different departments

Enhancing the laboratories towards the successful transformation into the Centre of excellence. Establishing the research culture in the institute

for collaborative working of various departments. Effectively executing the procurement policy in tune with the Guidelines of World Bank and

associated government bodies for more transparent and fair procedure for which approval from SPFU and NPIU is also necessary.

17 Infra-Red Moisture Meter

This moisture meter has been designed for rapid and accurate determination of the moisture content of a wide variety of materials. It is torsion wire instruments, the torque being applied to one end of the wire be means of a calibrated drum to balance the loss of weight as the test sample dries under infrared radiation. The speed of drying (about 30min) thus obtained, combined with the frictionless balancing system gives the result as accurate as those obtained by standard oven drying method. Since drying weighing are simultaneously it is useful especially for determination of moisture in substances that quickly reabsorbs moisture after drying. The infrared radiation is controlled by a voltage regulator and thereby provide excellent heat control. The instrument is provided with as indicator lamp. Which glows when the unit is switched on. The torsion balance has a built-in magnetic damper of reduce pan vibration that enables quick weighing. The balance scale (drum) is divided in terms of moisture percentage on wet weight basis, which are read directly from it. Graduations are from 0 to 100% in 0.2 divisions. But readings may be estimated to 0.1% moisture content. Suitable for operation on 220V n50hz single phases AC supply. Capacity: 5g approx... Sensitivity 10mg approx... Range 0 to 100% moisture content on wet weight basis. Reading accuracy: +- 0.20% Probable error : +- 0.25 in the lower upto compared to 25% and +- 1% for

ANNEXURE 2Digital library

The system is structured to expose students to multifarious learning experience and opportunities that challenges and maximizes their learning

potential. Providing education digitally and making it available to everyone every where is the main function of Digital Library. The teachers get the

relevant digital resources such as animations and videos, interactive virtual labs tools etc. and use them as a part of their lesson plans in every

classroom period. Learners can use the digital library to view content at their own choice post class hours. The basic aim is to provide a complete

system with easy to use interface which will manage all videos, reference document, resources, digital content to centralize all the learning recourses of

the academy and provide end users a unified platform for viewing. It is Propriety Item. The price of Digital Library (Online): E Repository7 + 2500

Courses + 85,000 Lectures + 1000 e-Books + 5000 Exams is Rs 9,50,000/- (Nine lakh fifty thousand).
