Bal or Bel is found in the root of the word CA-BALA, the brand of magic that was promoted in Babylon but has its roots in the Balkans . Today it is still preserved in Eastern Serbia and is quite similar to the magic of the Hittites, on the basis of which we may speak about the common origins of the two peoples .
