Ejemplos: - They have got three children. ( Ellos ‘tienen’ tres niños).
- I have a shower in the mornings.
USOS DE “TO HAVE”
MÓDULO I - INGLÉS
utilizarse indistintamente en solitario (have) o bien acompañado por got (have got).
Ej: She has a big house in Ireland / She has got a big house in Ireland
I have blue eyes / I have got blue eyes
(Yo tengo los ojos azules)
Tomar (alimentos);
Ej: I have breakfast at seven in the morning (Tomo el desayuno a las siete de la mañana)Ej: I don't have coffee (Yo no tomo café)
Dar (una fiesta, un paseo, una mirada...)
Ej: We're having a party next Saturday(Vamos a dar una fiesta el próximo sábado)Ej: I usually have a walk on Saturday mornings(Normalmente doy un paseo los sábados por la mañana)Ej: Can I have a look at your magazine?(¿Puedo dar un vistazo a su revista?)
Se usa habitualmente en modismos (frases hechas). La estructura más frecuente (no la única) es: 'to have' + 'a' + sustantivo.
Ej: To have a rest / DescansarEj: To have a swim / NadarEj: To have a walk / Pasear
Ej: I have read this book / Yo he leido este libroEj: We have seen a film / Nosotros hemos visto una película
