The bintec W2004n is an 11n access point with two high-performance single-band radio modules which allow it to operate in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultane-ously.

The included mounting hardware lets you quickly and eas-ily mount the unit onto a ceiling or wall. For protection against theft, the device is also compatible with Kensington locks.

Whether you’re operating a standalone access point or us-ing a WLAN Controller, you can take advantage of the op-tional HotSpot solution and provide a managed network for guests — an ideal solution for hotels and restaurants.

The bintec WLAN Controller is designed for typical applications at SMEs and can manage up to 150 access points. For up to six access points, no additional hardware is required since the Controller software runs with a license on a master access point.

LTE (4G) is now well-established as an alternative connectivity option for modern businesses re-gardless of their location. Prices for LTE (4G) mo-bile data plans have also decreased. Teldat’s bintec RS232j-4G is a flexible solution that enables ev-erything from direct data links to setting up entire VPN infrastructures.

The bintec RS232j-4G has an integrated LTE mo-dem (4G) for direct and primary connectivity as an alternative to DSL. You also have the option of establishing your primary connection using the integrated ADSL 2+ modem with the included LTE (4G) connection as a last resort backup. You can connect additional internal devices to the bin-tec RS232j-4G with the integrated 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch.

The Teldat 4Ge is as an external interface card that pro-vides 4G connectivity for enterprise routers. This cutting-edge peripheral does not force you to use up available interface card slots, PCMCIA slots, or USB ports on the router. The Teldat 4Ge uses Ethernet to connect to the router.

The Teldat 4Ge is not a router itself, but only a periph-eral for routers. The management of this new 4G device is seamlessly integrated into the router, so that the ser-vice intelligence offered by the router for landline WAN service is fully available for the additional wireless WAN (WWAN) service. The standards-based Ethernet commu-nication between the Teldat 4Ge and the router guaran-tees compatibility with most existing third-party enter-prise routers.

This innovative device offers an easy and cost-effective solution for boosting 4G in indoor sce-narios. Enterprise routers are hosted in the server room or datacenter where typically there is a lack of cellular coverage or, if present, the radio sig-nal is not strong enough to guarantee broadband speeds over 4G. Addressing this challenge, the Teldat 4Ge is placed outside the server room in the spot with the best 4G coverage and delivers 4G service to the router over the corporate Ethernet network. This new approach eliminates the need for expensive coaxial cables and repeaters to boost the 4G coverage, while at the same time improving reception quality.

In the diagram below, the branch office router is equipped with a Teldat 4Ge. When the enterprise router detects a failure in its main link, it then for-wards the IP traffic to the 4G connection.

A new virtual Point-to-Point interface is config-ured on the router. Upon successful attachment of the Teldat 4Ge into the WWAN network, the ne-gotiated IP address is assigned to the router’s vir-tual interface. All the WWAN service intelligence

(IP forwarding, IP link quality supervision, QoS, VPN, etc) is centralized in the router engine.

This new approach of WWAN access for existing routers saves money since all you need is an ether-net cable to install the Teldat 4Ge.

The Teldat-K can be installed not only in wiring closets, but also on walls in business settings. PoE (Power over Ethernet) is supported as well, which means all you need is an Ether-net cable to install the device. For greater reliability, dual SIM card slots have been included so you can set up re-dundant WWAN providers.

Teldat-K is the definitive solution for professional WWAN connectivity in remote offices, providing support for a number of different scenarios. It’s perfect as a backup WWAN router thanks to the advanced software features (VRRP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, IPSLA,…).It can also be used as the sole router for mobile or part-time offices thanks to its integrated LAN and WLAN functionality and security features.

With the Teldat-K, there is no need to install the device inside the engineering closet if that is not the optimal location to provide wireless coverage. Instead, the router’s ability to run on PoE as its only power source lets you mount it on any wall. All you need is an Ethernet cable.

You can also use the Teldat-K as the sole router for fixed and mobile integration scenarios with optional MetroEthernet access of up to 200 Mbps. The Teldat-K also increases reliability with its

The Teldat-V can be equipped with up to three different WAN connectivity options: Ethernet, xDSL or 3G/4G. Any of these can be used as the main connection or a fall-back provider. Simultaneously operation is also possible. It also features a four-port Gigabit switch and can operate as a WiFi-n access point.The state of the art software, based on Teldat’s CIT (Teldat Internetworking Code), is shared with the rest of Teldat routers, incorporating advanced routing protocols, legacy protocol support, ease of installation, state-of-the-art re-mote diagnostics and advanced management tools for de-manding corporate environments and carrier use.

The Teldat-V is designed for small offices with moderate bandwidth needs (ADSL/VDSL or Eth-ernet up to 30 Mbps) that require a high degree of reliability in a fully-featured router.

If you’re looking for reliability, the Teldat-V is the answer. The router provides redundant access with Gigabit interfaces to connect to the WAN and the internal network in addition to state-of-the-art WLAN 802.11abgn up to 300 Mbps. All of this is complemented with hardware-accelerated data encryption to boost security without affect-ing speed.

The internal 3G/4G module provides the best pos-sible connection management as it is compatible with all current mobile connectivity technologies up to 4G (LTE, HSPA+, HSPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, GSM) and allows for external antennas. REGESTA-PRO ER routers are highly intelligent indus-trial-grade devices that deliver secure and reliable broad-band IP connectivity for SCADA telemetry and remote control applications. They operate in remote facilities as part of critical infrastructure processes that involve smart grids, pipelines, and traffic control systems.

In the depicted application, you can see the REGESTA-PRO acting as the core component of each substation’s network. It links advanced me-tering, remote control, surveillance, monitoring, and other services to the control center.

Each electrical substation’s industrial control equipment includes a number of SCADA devices managed over IP protocols. The equipment is as-signed the appropriate IP subnet and VLAN seg-ment and connected via a serial or Ethernet port on the REGESTA-PRO ER router, which acts as a power utility router for the devices.

The router combines network traffic into multiple DMVPN tunnels, guaranteeing maximum secu-rity for your wireless communications. Teldat’s central site VPN concentrators take each stream from the meshed VPN tunnel network and trans-mit it to the corresponding monitoring station on the central IP network.

The REGESTA-PRO ER industrial router proac-tively monitors the wireless connection and the meshed VPN tunnels. If the Teldat router detects

a bottleneck or a tunnel goes down, it automatical-ly switches transmission to the backup network. The REGESTA-PRO ER also uses dynamic rout-ing protocols to reliably maintain the link to the remote site.

You can configure your WAN link using a number of different interfaces including Ethernet, DSL, or mobile networks.

Having a fully featured network aboard trains makes it possible to provide new services to pas-sengers and staff. Ridership increases while costs decline.Multiple routers (each with up to two cellular connections) can be deployed to increase band-width and overall redundancy of the solution. For larger trains that require WiFi access, Teldat’s W2002T-n access points can provide connectivity from within the individual coach cars on the train.
