To avoid a competition with regular tracks, special sessions on topics not enough specific and/or too general will be automatically rejected. Any potential organizer (or group of organizers) has to complete the following tasks sent to Special Sessions CoChairs: • provide the title of the special session with names of organizers • send a “Call for Papers” dedicated to that special session (one PDF page: model provided in the conference website): deadline October 30, 2014 • contact potential authors and invite them to submit (send the list) • prepare a list of potential reviewers (send the list) TECHNICAL EXHIBITION A technical exhibition dedicated to electrical machines and drives simulation, analysis, design and instrumentation is planned in conjunction with the conference. Manufacturers of electrical machines, drives, power electronics, measurement and control systems will be welcome. Potential interested exhibitors are kindly requested to contact the Exhibition Co-Chairs for further information. VENUE IEMDC’2015 will be held in Coeur d’Alène, ID. INTRODUCTIONThe IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC) has been established to be one of the major events in the field of electrical machines and drives. Started in Milwaukee, Wi in 1997, IEMDC is now a regular established conference. Recent editions have been organized in Seattle, Wa in 1999, Cambridge, Ma in 2001, Madison, Wi in 2003, San Antonio, Tx in 2005, Antalya, Turkey in 2007, Miami, Fl in 2009, Niagara Falls, Ont., Canada in 2011 and Chicago, Il in 2013. In order to keep the scientific quality of past editions, the 10th IEMDC will have the following characteristics:• Digests (double-spaced, single column, 5 pages maximum without authors names but with figures, references and main results) may be submitted for evaluation• On‐line conference digests/papers submission/review system will be adopted • Each digest and final paper will be reviewed by at least 3 independent referees• Topics are arranged in tracks, each one having several co‐chairs tomanage the review process• Special Sessions will be organized• All accepted and presented papers will be potentially included in the IEEEXplore data base

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORSAuthors are kindly requested to submit extended digests, previously unpublished and relevant to the conference topics complying withthe following rules: English language, limitation to 5 pages (provided template), including paper title, authors’ names and affiliations, figures and references (maximum size 2MB). All submissions will be reviewed by at least 3 independent reviewers before being included in the conference Proceedings and potentially in the IEEEXplore data base. Instructions about preparation and submission of digests and final versions of papers can be found in the conference website.
