HHowever, we are not in the business of merely putting students through a ‘system’ with the sole aim of merely achieving ‘grades’. We have the vision of student self-development based on the principles of student-centered learning which we believe will allow students to actually put into prpractice what they have been taught.

With this in mind, each semester incorporates many extra-curricular activities. They are designed to allow for the practical application of many of the key skills crucial to the development of independent, self-motivated individuals.

At Tarabya British Schools, we offer study options to suit individual requirements. Most students will study a two year full time programme with AS in the first year and A2 in the second year.

We also offer an intensive one year programme for students who have completed their high school diploma and would like to study an undergraduate degree abroad without completing a foundation.

AAlthough most Universities will ask for three A-Level subjects to enter their undergraduate programmes, we also accommodate students who wish to study one or two subjects in order to gain an internationally recognised qualication for other purposes like career progression.

Cambridge International IGCSE and A-Level examination sessions occur twice a year, in June and November, with results issued in August and January respectively.

BBoth qualications use a wide range of assessment processes and techniques alongside the formal written examinations. Orals, practicals, projects and coursework of differing types are all used in various subjects where they are the most effective and appropriate means of measuring attainmeattainment.

Each subject that a student takes at Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels receive a separate certicated grade. The Cambridge International A-Level is reported on a grade scale from A* grade, awarded for the highest level of achievement, to E, indicating the minimum required peperformance. The Cambridge IGCSE grades run from A* to G.
