    Prepares students to report how theyperformed the task while the

    teacher goes around polishing their

    work and giving suggestions tocorrect their language.

    Students report briefly to compare

    findings, the teacher give commentsand rephrases things but gives not

    overt public correction.

    Students listen to a recording offluent speakers doing the sametask, and compare the ways in

    which they did the task

    themselves.

    Teacher set some language-focused task, based on the texts

    students have read or on the

    transcripts of the recordingthey have heard.

    Teacher starts analyzing the languagebased on what he have already set in thelanguage focus stage and then students

    continue with the analysis. Teacher reviewsthe analysis and possibly write somerelevant language in the board to take

    advantage of it.

    Teacher conducts practice exercises basedon the language analysis. These activities

    can involve:Choral repetition

    Follow- up

    Students could repeat the same

    oral task but with differentpartners, go back through thetask material and write downnew language they noticed or

    discuss how they felt about thetask.
