exchange has not been made stronglybetween JWRI and Southeast Asian Nations.

2. JWRI hopes to make international academicexchanges with universities & institutes inSoutheast Asian Nations for promotingScience & Technology of Welding & Joining.

3. Osaka University has established theBangkok Center for Education and Research(BCER) in Thailand.

1. JWRI will make international academicexchanges with universities & institutes inSoutheast Asian Nations .

2. A JWRI office and a guest professorwill beput at each university or institute.

3. A Specially Appointed Professor will be put

at the BCER as the hub for Southeast Asia.4. Collaborations will be promoted through the

BCER.5. Researchers will be invited to JWRI for

collaborations.6. Symposium and seminar will be held through

the BCER.7. JWRI will accept foreign students in

cooperation with School of Engineering and

will support them to study in the IWE course.
