Taller Sau,

arquitectura, paisatge, disseny.Estudi nascut a Sant Joan de les Abadesses l’any 1985 i actualment també establert a Puigcerdà i Barcelona.

Anys projectant i treballant de for-ma interdisciplinar per tal de lligar totes les parts de cada projecte ar-ribant al detall de cadascuna de les peces del sistema d’engranatges que és l’arquitectura. Sempre en-tenent que l’arquitectura no és un element acabat sinó un organisme canviant on els usuaris són els ac-tors principals.

Many years designing and working with interdisciplinar teams in order to reach the detail of all pieces of the gear system that architecture is. Always believing that architec-ture is not a finished element but a changing organism where the us-ers are the main actors.

Espai. Difuminant els límits.

Espai, llum, ombra, transparència. Evitar una arquitectura de fronteres. Transicions naturals entre espais. Fil-tres. Canvis subtils de caràcter i es-cala. Moviment continu entre zones amb diferents graus d’habitabilitat.

Space. Blurring the borders.

Space, light, shadow, transparency. Avoiding an architecture of borders. Natural transitions through spaces. Filters. Subtle nature and scale changes. Continous movement be-tween zones with different habitabil-ity levels.

Entendre el paisatge com el re-sultat de la relació entre l’home i la natura. Descobrir que el pas del temps marca l’evolució d’aquesta relació.Respectar la memòria històrica i adaptar-la als nous contex-tos.

Landscape. Nature and col-lective imaginary.

Take the landscape as the re-sult of the relation between man and nature. Understand that the passage of time ac-centuates the evolution of this relation. Respect the historical memory and adapt it to new contextual situations.

Energia. Sistemes, situació i oportunitat.

Entendre l’arquitectura com un sistema integrat a l’entorn generant fluxos d’intercanvi. Aprofitar el potencial preexistent com a clau per apropar-se a l’autosuficiència energètica a través de sistemes de captació que generen i formen part de la mateixa arquitectura.

Arquitectura com a sistema obert. La arquitectura ha de ser capaç de resoldre les necessitats presents util-itzant els mínims recursos. Aquest sistema ha de poder ser ampliat - o reduït - per a satisfer noves neces-sitats.

Change. Open architecture.

Architecture as an open system. Ar-chitecture has to solve the immediate needs using minimal resources. This system must be able to be expanded - or reduced - in order to satisfy new needs.
