EASY SETUP GUIDE

Table PC equipped with the Intel® Atom™ processor

This Document shows how to install and setup the Windows 8 OS "Release Preview" on the Flatoak

offered Tablet PC that is equipped with the Intel® Atom™ processor. This guide is for a Windows 8 OS

Tablet PC (32bit OS).

The first step is to download and create the Windows 8 OS image from the Microsoft download site.

The recommended way is to download the "ISO image", 32-bit (x86).

STEP-1. Download the "ISO image" and save it on your Windows 7 PC.

*Remember to write down the Windows 8 OS "Product Key:"

STEP-2. Download and install the "Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool".

STEP-3. Run the "Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool" and create a USB media.

*At least 4GB USB is required.

Now you are ready to install Windows 8 OS to your Tablet PC.

Below is a picture of Windows 8 OS installed on the Tablet PC.

Please continue to follow the "Easy Setup Guide" to complete your Windows 8 OS installation and setup.

*Notice that both "touch" and "virtual keyboard" can be used smoothly in Windows 8 OS.

Your Tablet PC hardware should be setup similar to the picture below.

a. Tablet PC is plugged into A/C Power.

b. USB(with the IOS image) is plugged into the USB Port.

c. Tablet PC is Power-ON. (Please use the Power-ON switch).

At first, "Windows" will be displayed. *Also, you may see the "Intel" icon briefly.

Please follow each Picture to do the installation steps.

*After Power-ON, then please wait a moment.

*Select Next (N).

*Select Install (I).

*Please wait a moment.

*Enter in the "Product Key".

*Use the Virtual(soft) Keyboard. I will appear, or you can select it on the bottom of the Tablet PC.

*Accept the Microsoft Windows 8 license agreement. Select (A).

*Select the Custom Install.

The next steps are to prepare the Tablet PC disk drive space. The recommendation is to prepare a clean

disk space for the Windows 8 OS installation. Then later you can install other additional software.

*Select (A), as shown in the picture.

Therefore, delete all previous disk drive partitions. Create a clean disk space.

*Select (D). (Partition 2) *Select OK.

*Select (D). (Partition 1) *Select OK.

*Select (N). Notice the clean disk space partition. It is ready for clean Windows 8 OS install.

*Windows 8 OS will install. Please wait a moment.

*The Tablet PC will automatically re-boot. *Remove(unplug) the USB device before bootup.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the Tablet PC re-boots with the USB device plugged in, then you can remove

the USB, and then again Power-OFF, and Power-ON.

*Please select your setup choices. *The virtual keyboard can be used.

*Select express setup (E). *Please wait a moment.

*Tablet PC will bootup with START view. *Remove the Tablet PC A/C adaptor plug.

*Confirm the "Windows 8 Release Preview - Build 8400"
