Conclusion

• Surat being top ranked city in Textile business in country still not have even a single textile trading market that is ISO certified in facility Management

• Averaging above 35-40% markets in city are even below minimum standards of safety requirements

• This hampers a great deal to the business growth and now time, Municipal Corporation, traders all are demanding for some up gradation

Project Working Timeline

19 January Letter send to FOSTA requesting for permission

24January Meeting with Chapala Bothra Secretary FOSTA

Page 25: SURAT TEXTILE MARKET

Issues in Project• Initially GIS issue faced by team, but after work on it issue was resolved by

January end• Rough Work methodology guideline made by the group but objection is

there from FOSTA Secretary• FOSTA Secretary wants that group first completes facility planning for only

one market• Issue still not getting resolved for this one more meeting is been

scheduled on 21 February to reach to one solution• Apart from this we have got contacts of above mentioned companies

working in the field when and how we shall approach them is a question• Not much background study material is available related to topic• Group has got signed in to International Facility Management Association

but to get detailed study material even as student registration is required of 35-50 $ is it worth to register is a question
