Trident Technical College’s Supervisory Skills Program is for up-and-coming leaders and seasoned professionals, who wish to improve their supervisory skills, improve communication and business knowledge as well as develop their emotional IQ. The program modules cover: Leadership and influence Building a strong team Communicating effectively Business ethics Emotional intelligence This program is offered contractually and as a public enrollment certificate. Interpersonal Skills Series Great employee teamwork is one of the most invaluable yet hardest to obtain advantages for any business. To have great teamwork, it is necessary for everyone on the team to develop great interpersonal skills to build a foundation for all to work well together. Trident Technical College’s 10-session series on interpersonal skills has been proven to help teams reach their peak performance. This effective series of courses is designed to touch on all aspects of non-technical, people skills. It begins with the foundation of all interpersonal skills, communication and building competent presentation skills. Each session can stand alone and is facilitated in a highly interactive and personable format which in itself, extracts and develops positive personality skills among the participants. Each 3.5-4 hour highly interactive session can be delivered as standalone classes or we are able to create a whole program to meet your employee development needs. Courses include: Business Ethics: Ethical leadership and team morals must be adhered to for protecting the assets (material, monetary and human) of a company. This session reveals red flag indicators that could lead to costly breakdowns in ethics. Compelling case studies add significant value to this class. Communication Skills: This session lays the foundation for all interpersonal skills focusing on basic tactics that regardless of one’s communication skill level, if practiced, can raise overall proficiency. Conflict Management: To ensure a smooth running organization, participative leaders and team members must address both technical and interpersonal conflicts. Dealing with difficult situations and/or people effectively can keep problems from going underground and undermining productivity. Customer Service: Delivering exceptionally positive and appropriate interaction involving both the internal and external customer is critical to maximizing revenues, productivity and long-term company success. This highly interactive session drives home the point to all levels of employees. Decision Making: A structure for making decisions and solving problems is explained and practiced in this session. Also covered is the process of examining the three types of decisions, decision making tools and stimulating interaction results. Diversity: One of the greatest tools a leader has is thepowerofdiversity.ThoughbrieflydemonstratedinTeamwork Part 1, this session goes into all aspects of a diverse workforce and how the team must nurture and protect the concept to spur creativity, productivity and self-sustaining goodwill.

Emotional Intelligence: More than ever, companies and organizations want leaders and employees who can manage their impulses, analyze their behaviors, and interact successfully with others while staying positive and goal driven. This session touches effectively on self-analysis, stress management and communicating well with others in a myriad of circumstances.

Participative Leadership: Modern work systems rely on everyone demonstrating leadership qualities. This session explores leadership from both the singular and communal points of view and focuses on the intangible skills one must possess to inspire and motivate others within the team.

Prioritizing Time: Teaching tactics for dealing with schedules, deadlines and goals in a safe and stress free environment is the objective of this session. Time management tools are demonstrated and strategies for reducing personal and team stressors are explored.

Respect: The cornerstone for all social and business interaction is conveying respect in every action and interaction. This eye-opening session demonstrates the concept through several exercises.

Teamwork: In successful business cultures, it is critical that employees work well in teams. This highly interactive session provides key experiential learning exercises that serve as an exciting and fun method for instilling a team culture.

Train the Trainer, Part 1: This highly interactive session teaches interesting and needed facts about the adult learner and lays out many techniques to facilitate training designed to maximize retention of information.

Train the Trainer, Part 2: (Presentation Skills) Public speaking ranks near the top of the list of fears. Using the facts and skills learned in Train the Trainer Part 1, attendees make presentations and work on overcoming any public speaking fears in a very non-threatening atmosphere.
