Steps to Hot-Plug PCI Cards
" The SunFire V880 PCI slots can support live addition & removal of PCI card's.
" This is an electrical feature that requires software support.
" The PCI card's Solaris driver must be 'Hot-Plug' aware.
" Cards can be easily added/removed by notifing Solaris in one of two ways:
ñ Using the slot control panel OR
ñ Using Solaris command(s).
" During a hot-plug operation, a 33MHz adapter cannot be connected to a 66MHz slot.

ñTwo loops possible (A&B)
•Supports redundant paths to internal disks
•Volume Manager & Dynamic Multipathing
•FC-AL supports the 1.0625 Gb/sec standard, translating to 200 MB/sec fullduplex throughput.
