CARING, TRAINED COUNSELORS Carefully chosen YMCA Counselors have passed a background check and training in CPR, safety and workingwith children.

CAMP SCHEDULEFull-Day: 9:00 am-4:00 pmFree Extended Care: 7:00-9:00 am & 4:00-6:3 0 pm

REGISTRATION INFORMATIONYou may register online at www.ymcaregistration.com or inperson at Summit Family YMCA. Deposits are required tohold your space in camp. Georgia Form 3231, registrationform, and Metro Atlanta YMCA Waiver are required beforeyour child can attend camp. Payments may not be made byphone. A non-refundable $10 deposit per session is neededhold your child’s space in camp. Deposits apply towards thebalance of the camp fees for that particular camp session. Aone time supply fee is required of $15.

PAYMENT OF BALANCEPayments are due on Wednesday prior to the week of attendance. If balance has not been received, your child’sregistration for the week of attendance will be canceled. Youhave the ability to pay your balance online atwww.ymcaregistration.com.

GENERAL INFORMATIONChildren must meet the age requirements by the end of theweek they are registered for. For their safety, no exceptionswill be made. We cannot pro-rate fees due to missed daysof camp for any reason, nor do we offer refunds forabsences.

YMCA MEMBERSHIPCamp fees are noted for YMCA facility members and program members. Facility members enjoy reduced rates, asa benefit of membership. For those who wish to participatein YMCA programs without use of the facility, a yearly fee of$40 per family is required in addition to fees for yourprograms of choice. YMCA facility membership must remain

current throughout the summer to qualify for the facilitymember rates.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCETo the fullest extent of our resources, YMCAof Metro Atlanta branches actively seek toreduce YMCA fees for those in need. Pleasecall any local YMCA branch to request a confidential application for financial assistance. Scholarships are limited, aregiven on first come, first serve basis andmay take up to several weeks to process.The following documents are required toapply for scholarships: application, most recent tax document 1040, proof of income,a camp registration form showing the weeksyou would like your child(ren) to attend, thechild’s Georgia Form 3231 and MetroAtlanta YMCA Waiver.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DATESSubmit applications March 1-June 15 forentire summer needs. TRANSPORTATIONTransportation will offered to all 9 and oldercampers that have younger siblings participating in camp throughout the entiresummer camp duration. Campers must besigned up for Sonrise bus by Monday ofeach week of attendance. Campers must besigned in and ready to board the bus nolater than 9:00 AM. The buses will return tothe Summit Y between 4:15 & 4:45 PM.All specialty camps will have pick up anddrop off at specific program locations.

TRADITIONAL CAMP AT TWO LOCATIONS

Traditional Camp at Summit Family YMCA ages 5-8:Summit Family YMCA offers traditional summer day camp for all 10 weeks of summer. Campers will enjoy swimming, outdoor recreation, tennis, group games, arts & crafts,weekly themes, summer learning and more. Campers aredivided into age groups: 5-6, and 7-8. This camp will focusactivities around the four core values of caring, honesty,respect and responsibility.All Sessions: 9:00 am-4:00pmExtended Care Included...Drop-off: 7:00-9:00 am • Pick-up: 4:00-6:30 pmMEM: $125 PRO: $150

Traditional Camp at Sonrise Baptist Churchages 9-13: Summit Family YMCA offers traditionalsummer day camp for nine weeks of summer atour sister site, Sonrise Baptist Church.Campers will enjoy swimming, outdoorrecreation, group games, arts & crafts,weekly themes, summer learning andmore. SPORTS CAMPS

Tennis Camp ages 8-15: Campers attending this tennis campwill learn skills and drills and have some match play.Campers will learn technique, teamwork and sportsmanship.To cool off each day campers will splash into the indoor junior Olympic size pool. Basketball Camp ages 8-15: This camp will teach campersbasic skills or improve on existing skills. Leaders in Training ages 13-15: This is agreat opportunity for teens to gain valuable experience in leadership roles.They will spend their time at camp involved in a wide variety of activitiesincluding: leadership training, learning workethics, game facilitation, doing community service projects, working withcampers, as well as enjoying traditionalcamp activities. These teens will also spendtime shadowing and assisting the coun-selors in a variety of camp activities duringthis two-week session. Soccer Camp ages 6-15: This camp will takeplace at Sonrise Camp Soccer Fields. Thefocus of this camp will be on importance ofteam work in addition to Refining individualskills, Dribbling, Passing, Receiving, Shooting,Defending. Campers will take a splash in theSonrise outdoor aquatics pool to rechargebefore afternoon scrimmages. Community Adult Beginner: No skillsrequired. FREE

Swim Lessons

PARENT/CHILD CLASSESages 6 months-2 years • 30-minute classes

Parent/Tot ages 6 months-2 years: Encourages a child towork towards independence in the water with a parentthrough songs and games.

PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONSages 3-5 • 30-minute classes

Beginner (Pike): No skills required. Must be ready for groupsetting without parent.

Intermediate (Eel): Completed skills required for Pike plusfront and back float for 5 seconds, jumps in and swims solo 10 feet with eyes in water.

Advanced (Ray/Starfish): Completed skills required for Eelplus swims at least 15 yards. May be able to swim a modified front crawl, elementary backstroke & tread water.

YOUTH SWIM LESSONSages 6-12 • 45-minute classes

Beginner 1 (Pollwog): No skills required.

Beginner 2 (Guppy): Completed skills required for Polliwog IIplus front paddle with eyes in water, back paddle and sidepaddle 20 yards without floatation.

Intermediate (Minnow): Completed skills required for Guppyplus swim 25 yards nonstop performing freestyle with side breathing, side kick and backstroke.
