Summer Reading
Calvin Coolidge
Second Grade
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Attached is a list of grade level appropriate books that your child is required to select two from to read over the summer. In addition, they will need to complete the attached book report assignment sheet for each selection. We also expect them to continue to build upon your math skills, as well as, over the summer. To help accomplish this we ask that they visit the math websites that are listed below. They will allow for some fun and exciting ways to build and strengthen their math computational skills through games and interactive activities.
Completed assignments will be turned into the homeroom teacher in September. They will be counted towards the 1st marking period reading grade.
Have your child complete a Book report for one fiction and one non-fiction book.
Return the book reports in September to your child’s classroom teacher.
Have a very happy, healthy and enjoyable summer!
