2. IF ASSET TRACKING CANNOT LOCATE YOUR SCENE ASSETS FILES USE THE SET PATH FEATURE TO LOCATE OR REPLACE THE FILES.

2a. Locate MISSING FILES UNDER STATUS COLUMN2b. Click PATHS DROP DOWN MENU2c. Click SET PATH IN THE DROP DOWN MENU

THE SPECIFY ASSET PATH WINDOW WILL APPEAR.

THE CHOOSE A NEW ASSET PATH WINDOW WILL APPEAR.

2e. Navigate TO INTENDED OR REPLACMENT FILE 2f. Highlight CORRECT FILE2g. Click USE PATH BUTTON AT LOWER RIGHT

4c. Scroll DOWN TO RESOURCE COLLECTOR IN THE UTILITIES WINDOW4d. Select RESOURCE COLLECTOR

PARAMETERS PANEL WILL APPEAR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF WINDOW.

4f. Click DESKTOP BUTTON AND SELECT USER WORK SHORTCUT 4g. NAVIGATE TO MY DOCUMENTS AND CLICK USE PATH BUTTON. MAKE SURE THE “PATH” FIELD HAS DESIRED VALUE. THIS SHOULD TAKE YOU BACK TO THE RESOURCE COLLECTOR PARAMETERS PANEL.

CREATE A PROJECT FOLDER IN YOUR MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER TO STAY ORGANIZED.

4h.Check COLLECT BITMAPS/PHOTOMETRIC FILES AND INCLUDE MAX FILE BOXS IN RESOURCE OPTION AREA 4i. Select MOVE OPTION4j.Click BEGIN BUTTON

RESOURCE COLLECTOR WILL NOW MOVE EVERYTHING TO THE FOLDER SPECIFIED. YOU CAN CHECK THAT THE DESTINATION FOLDER WAS CREATED BY NAVIGATING TO C:\USERWORK\MYDOCUMENTS

MAKE SURE TO KEEP A COPY OF THE ENTIRE FOLDER ON YOUR PERSONAL STORAGE DEVICE BEFORE YOU LOG OFF THE COMPUTER.

C:\USERWORK IS AUTOMATICALLY CLEANED OFF EVERYDAY AT 6AM

1. Setup your rendering work area

1a. Click START AT BOTTOM LEFT OF SCREEN1b. Type RENDERSTORE IN WHITE SEARCH BOX AND HIT ENTER

1C. Navigate TO YOUR SPECIFIC STORAGE FOLDER WITHIN THE RENDER FARM TO VERIFY THAT QUBE! HAS CREATED YOUR PRATT ONEKEY FOLDER(LINK IS ON DESKTOP)

YOUR PRATT ONEKEY FOLDER CONTAINING YOUR SOURCE & OUTPUT FOLDERS IS NOW CREATED AUTOMATICALLY BY THE QUBE! RENDER FARM

3. Run the QUBE! render farm application:

3a. Click START BUTTON AT BOTTOM LEFT OF SCREEN3b. Type QUBE IN WHITE SEARCH BOX3c. Click QUBE UNDER PROGRAMS THE QUBE! WRANGLERVIEW WINDOW APPEARS.

YOU ARE NOW READY TO SUBMIT THE 3DS MAX PROJECT FOR RENDERING.

2. copy the folder created using resource collector into the source folder contained in your onekey folder within the Qube!render farm.

4. Submit a 3DS Max render job in the qube! wranglerview window.

4a. Click SUBMIT IN DROP DOWN MENU OF WRANGLERVIEW WINDOW4b. Click 3DS MAX JOB

THE SUBMIT 3DS MAX WINDOW APPEARS.

6. ENTER SUBMISSION PARAMETERS

6a.Specify DESIRED # OF INSTANCES (WORKERS) EXAMPLE 1-20 (DEFAULT:40, USE 1 IF RENDERING A SINGLE FRAME.

6b.Specify RANGE OF SCENE FRAMES NEEDED EXAMPLE 1-100

6C.Specify THE 3DS MAX VERSION YOUR USING EXAMPLE: 2014= v2014

6D.Click THE SCENEFILE BROWSE BUTTON AND NAVIGATE TO YOUR SOURCE FOLDER AND SELECT YOUR SCENFILE

6E.Specify NO ON THE COPY SCENEFILE DROP DOWN MENU

6F. Click BROWSE BUTTON AND NAVIGATE TO YOUR OUTPUT FOLDER ON THE RENDER FARM AND SPECIFY OUTPUT FOLDER & JPG OR PNG FILE EXTENSION
